After spending $200+ on dinner for 2, with so-so food, watered down drinks and mediocre service, I think I'll stick with Breezy's down the road and the Emerald across the lake.  My biggest regret is not telling a couple in the parking lot to go elsewhere when they asked how it was. I was too kind when I told them to just stick with the Italian entrée's and avoid all else.  Chicken parm was good and a shrimp/asparagus appy special was also good. Â
But I ordered a t-bone that, for some reason, didn't come on the bone. Â I wanted the filet on the side that usually comes with a t-bone but was told that the chef cuts off the strip before firing it. Â If that was a strip they served me I'd be very surprised, tasted more like a sirloin. Â The hot antipasti was served cold and the drinks were, and I can't say I've ever run into this, watered down. Â
I ordered a gin martini and thought they put too much vermouth in it, but when I ordered a second "very dry" martini, I came to the conclusion later that they were watering the bottles. Â Wife had a vodka and soda and experienced the same thing, she didn't think there was any vodka in her drink, and to add insult to injury, they were charging me $12/drink and her $10! Â As I said, I've never run into this and it wasn't until we had left the place that my wife and I came to the conclusion that the drinks were watered down. Â It's a shame too, the bar area is very nice. Â Business is slow, so let's rape whoever we can that walks through the door, not a very good business model. Â Â Not too sure what they're thinking.
