Came to this spot for lunch since our bus tour stopped here so we were pretty much forced to eat here... Â One word, RUN! Seems like the tour company has some sort of deal with this place bc these tours all stop here. Its overpriced for the food you get. (They change the price for tourist) If I could give it 0 stars I would... STAY AWAY!
Review Source:Shops are a tourist trap. Overpriced merchandise, but great selections. Food was just okay. We came here as a lunch stop on a tour, so we had no choice but to eat here. Got the Loco Moco, which was a burger patty on top of rice, served with eggs and gravy. My boyfriend got the chicken, and he said it was actually pretty flavorful. Unfortunately the mac salad was a bit bland. They offer outdoor seating across the parking lot by a fountain.
Review Source:I have lived on Oahu for four years and finally went here yesterday. I found it over priced and outdated. If you want cheap gifts, either go to the swap meet at Aloha Stadium, or head up to the North Shore and hit up Aloha General Store (also has the best shaved ice on the island!) Also, recommend eating up there.
Review Source:I came here on a whim, just because I was venturing out to ChinaMan's Hat on a Saturday morning, on my way to Turtle Bay resort just to chill out from a rough work week. Deciding to look up neighboring places as the #55 bus zooms northbound, I came across this place and decided to check it out. Needless to say, that I had to wait for the next bus going to China Man's Hat. But anyhow, I was intrigued by the name of this place. This store is really small, so don't expect any luxury from it.
Just a simple country store with a gift shop, with trinkets to take with you. It tends to be one of those tourist traps people go to, just because it looks like a cute store to stop at on their way to the North Shore or wherever they are going. I didn't really waste my time here. Just a quick browse and I was really out. Â I must've spent maybe at most 20 minutes. Saw some tourist folk ordering lunch, so I stuck around and see what Coral Kingdom had to offer. The prices were pricey, but I guess they were located kind of out of nowhere, in between Kaneohe and Laie.
Tourist trap, nothing more or less.
B-
We had to eat here because it was the lunch stop for our tour. I was very dissapointed in the food. BBQ chicken was OK, Mac salad had no taste, the saimen was OK... i was expecting more since we are in HI and I eat at places better then this at home..
I wouldve gave this only 1 star but I met the owner since there was an "incident" with my food, and she was very nice and tried to fix the situation...
I probably wont be eating here ever again..
My husband and I came upon this place via a tour.
I ordered the loco moco, per the suggestion of the tour guide. It was nothing special, just a hamburger patty, over rice and gravy. The patty was dry, and the gravy was very salty.
My husband got the bbq chicken, which was a bit overcooked and charred. It was dry and nothing special.
We asked for warm water, and were charged 75 cents for that small thing, even though we ordered those two main courses.
Everything is overpriced, and not worth it.
