BEST Shrimp on da Island!!I  I live in Honolulu and I make a trip to the other end of island almost every weekend!
ALL the food, (especially the spicy garlic shrimp), is so FRESH and delicious!
You get HUGE portions for such a great price!
I HIGHLY recommend finding the, " Original, Yellow, Shrimp Shack!!!
Why you ask? Well, Because, While you sit at hand painted tables, listening to Hawaiian music, enjoying your meal, you can gaze out onto the Ocean Waves! After your meal you can put your toes in the sand and stroll the Shoerline!

Had the surf (coconut) and turf, cod, and crab cakes. Easily The best you can get from a truck! seasonal corn is really sweet, too buttery though. Pass on the coffee though!
Park in front of Ching's, you will have to pay there if you use a card.

Definitely a must try if you're close by!

Saw the Shrimp Shack last week on the Food Network's "Unique Eats"(The episode is called Polynesian Paradise). They featured the "Spicy garlic shrimp, Surf & surf and Mussels poached in garlic, butter and beer.....sooooooo, we had to try all three plus the Steak & shrimp and crabcakes (there were 4 of us). OMG, so unbelievably delicious. The spicy garlic shrimp was the bomb!!! The sauce is so perfect! You have the option of picking your level of heat....mild, medium or HOT. We picked the medium spicy and it was so ONO! There are directions on the tables as to how to correctly eat the garlic and spicy garlic shrimp.....SUCK, PEEL, DIP & EAT! Don't forget to suck on the shell first before peeling your succulent wonderful shrimpy. So much flavor....follow those directions!
The steak & shrimp was amazing! We ordered the 8 oz. NY strip medium rare and it was done perfectly and served with caramalized onions in their secret sauce. Huge plate. Huge bargain!
Surf & surf was delicious as well. Surf & surf is Mahi Mahi paired with your choice of shrimp. Plenty of food! Come with an appetite! The Mussels were ordered as an appetizer for everyone to enjoy. They didn't last long at all. YUM!
Their place is located across from the ocean with warm trade winds blowing. Very quaint outside eatery with outstanding food & friendly service.
