I really liked this place.  The restaurant was nice and quiet, beautiful decor, attentive staff and of course outstanding food.  My daughter and I had the salmon cakes (think crab cakes, only salmon instead).  They were incredible!  Everything about this restaurant and the hotel in general was amazing.  I would definitely good back.

Stopped in for lunch after seeing it on the tram tour of the historic district and are glad that we did.

We too were a little worried about what constituted "casual" which is on the their sign, but were perfectly comfortable in a nice collared shirt with some shorts.

The food was fantastic and fairly priced.

Best meal on our 3week vacation. Very nice atmosphere, meal well presented, great service. We ordered grilled shrimp and scallops with asparigus and mango salsa. Including desert was $12. Wish they were closer to home.

Crane Cottage is an older cottage with lots of architectural detail and charm.  Rarely crowded, diners are spread between two rooms giving a sense of space and intimacy.  I really like to meet friends for lunch here.  Easy to talk and never feel rushed.

My favorite server is Irina, a charming woman with a slight Eastern European accent, who strives to help you select your best choice from the menu.  She is very attentive and familiar with the Crane Cottage menu.

I have had a very filling Monte Cristo sandwich, a grilled chicken salad,q a chicken salad on greens with walnuts and cheese, and a tomato bisque soup...on different occasions, of course.  I liked them all but chose heavier or lighter selections based on my own preference at the time.

Dressy...a little.  Not as much as the adjacent Jekyll Island club hotel dining room, but I would recommend at least nice pants and a blouse kind of dress for women.  Wear something dressier and you wouldn't be out of place.

A little expensive.  They often have early bird and other specials.

Beautiful setting and great food...why four stas?  Sometimes there is a slight musty odor in the old cottage.  Dine outside in the courtyard with fountain in the shade if you prefer.

I was nervous when we walked up to this beautiful location, our driver told us you usually need reservations and you have to dress fancyy.  Well we didn't have reservations, we were dressed nicely (a button down shirt for him, a summer dress for me) but I was afraid we'd be looked down upon and kicked out like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.  This was not the case.

We walked in and the place was deserted.  We were promptly seated with our orders taken.  I love the large fireplaces and the fresh flowers on the table.  Complimentary bread and oil for dipping started off the meal.  It was very good, yet very crumbly so the "fancy" ambiance quickly left when I saw how messy our table had gotten.

My boyfriend really enjoyed his lemon chicken, that was until he sampled my veal.  It was so flavorful he finished the dish off for me-he usually does anyway, but this time he kind of had to fight me for it!  If you dine here, you must try the veal!  Service was prompt, the waiter didn't have too much personality, but the fun accent made up for it.  This is a great place to enjoy a romantic meal then hop over to the pier and enjoy the sunset after.

We went for brunch and the food was nothing special. There weren't very many variety. The waiter was awful - forgot my coffee, told me to grab the juice at the buffet when clearly some of the bigger tables were being served juice and waited on. Maybe my server had something against tattoos or kids.

My total bill was $85 + tip. They charge for a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old. For this much money, I would've gladly spent $100 for something good that comes with good service!

We had lunch here. Food was excellent. It is pricey but the food was delicious and the portions very large. I had the shrimp and lump crap salad on croissant. The salad was topped with caramelized onions and mango slices.  Light and delicious. My wife had the Ali tuna salad. Very large portion of tuna.  Service was excellent. We were so sorry we did not eat dinner here the night before instead we went to Lattitude 31 which was the pits.
