The flow of service here is expertly orchestrated. Even though the place was very crowded our name was called within a short period of time. Our orders were taken shortly after seating and the food arrived promptly as well. The roaming manager also checked on us to see how everything was. The food here is country home cooked comfort food. The meats are tender and flavored well. The sides are equally as good. I was impressed in particular with this Cracker Barrel. The customer service was stellar and the food was impeccably prepared
Review Source:I'm usually very game for a breakfast highway stop at a Cracker Barrel. And when it comes to breakfast I am not hard to please. Out of two dishes the only thing worth a damn was the bacon, and it was very good. Everything else was crap, from eggs to biscuits. Service was pretty fast, food had me wishing it had taken longer.
Review Source:We arrived here late one evening after driving all day... Â Place was packed so we were quite surprised when our order was brought to the table within ten minutes. The food was home cooked goodness and so was the service. Â
This was my first time at a Cracker Barrel, I'f we were looking for a good, fast, home cooked meal again, this is the place I would go.
He said, " Well this is the first time I have ever gone to eat a Craker Barrel at 6am...and after sleeping on the side of the rode in a cramped care with my beautiful girlfriend...this is what we needed. I had an old timers breakfast and it was just cooked right. Its not greasy like waffle house where you leave like you are about to have a heart attack. The hashbrown casserole is the best thing i've tasted for a breakfast side. Well I would say I would go back but this was a road trip breakfast...so we will see."
She said, "I think my boyfriend summed it up pretty well...we stopped there because we were on a road trip so i doubt we will go back to this same one, but cracker barrel in general is always good. The food is never greasy and very fresh tasting. The eggs are scrambled just the way i like them, not like the microwavable type at waffle house. The hashbrown cassarole is bangin and so are the sauguage patties. I never can finish because it is very filling but its delish. We will find our own cracker barrel in MD, the staff anywhere you go are always very friendly."
Being back in Virginia for a long weekend, Southern cooking was definitely on my mind, and this place does it up right. Â
I went with the Old Country Breakfast which included scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, grits, and a biscuit. Â Oh my, my mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Â Now, I know you can probably get all the same stuff back in Seattle, but something about it doesn't taste quite the same. Â
I think maybe the side of Southern hospitality makes all the difference because grits never tasted so good. Â A sweet tea to wash it all down, and I can safely say I was a happy camper. Â
Now, I don't know where the closest Cracker Barrel to Seattle is, but if you ever find yourself near one in the journeys across our great states, check it out, Uncle Herschel will treat you right!
