I go to Crockett's a fair amount and I always have an enjoyable time. A few weeks ago, I was there on a night when two blondes were behind the bar. One of the girls was tall and the other was short. I believe their names were Kayla and Jen. It was my first time sitting at the bar while eating (instead of just ordering drinks and running a tab) but it won't be my last if these two are working. And I had a great time. It was actually the most fun I've had there in a while. The girls seemed to be having a good time and were enjoying themselves, even though they were working. They were having fun with the customers, making drinks as quick as possible, and working very hard.
On my most recent visit, Anna waited on a large group of us out on the deck. We were having a great time, service was excellent, and drinks came out quickly. The only problem I had was with the food. First, the food seemed to take a very long time. There wasn't that many customers so I'm not sure what was taking so long. But, we drank a few pitchers and overlooked the wait. Anna apologized saying she didn't know what was taking so long, but we told her not to worry. We got our meals, and almost everything was perfect. After we got two of the sandwich-issues taken care of, we continued to drink, socialize, and have a good time. While we were eating, an older guy (older than the girls that all work there, and older than the guy bartender) in a Crockett's shirt came out to smoke on the deck near us. I asked around and found out he was a part of the kitchen staff. I have worked in restaurants over the years and I know employees don't usually smoke near the customers and was taken aback that he just sat there and smoked so close to customers who were eating. There was no one else smoking on the deck at the time, so it seemed very rude he would smoke so close to people eating, especially when he could go anywhere outside he wanted to.
As I've said, I always have great service there. All of the girls seem very hard working, and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. The food is always good, but it seems as if the kitchen tends to mess up fairly regularly. My drinks are always spot on and served quickly, and with a smile. There's one girl (possibly the only brunette I've seen working behind the bar) who seems to always be rude and very unfriendly, but I haven't seen her in a while. As long as the servers and bartenders are the friendly, skilled, hard-workers I'm used to, I stay for quite a while each trip. It's almost always a fun night that is never quite the same as the last time.
Walked in, ignored. Waited a few moments to be seated, nothing happened. thought maybe we seat ourselves so we sat down in a Booth, waited ten minutes while watching others walk in, sit down, and get served. ??? Just as we were putting on our coats a waitress finally walked over with menus and asked us if we knew what the specials were. Um, obviously not. We said we were leaving and before we could say why she turned around and walked off, didn't care. WTH
