The Sports Page

One of my favorite places in downtown Morgantown.

Not the nicest inside and hasn't changed much over the years, but it's always a good time and they have some good Long Island varieties.

This isn't just the best sports bar in Morgantown, it's the best bar, period. They have dozens of TVs, they get every college basketball and football game, and they get every pro sports game too. Twenty ounce draft domestic beers are $2 every day, and only $1 on Sunday nights and Tuesdays. No bar in town has beer that cheap. On Mondays, they have 25 cent wings. Yeah, you read that right. A dozen wings for $3! On Fridays, they have a happy hour buffet from 5-8 that has a few different kinds of wings, mini corn dogs, and other things, and they have $1.50 domestic drafts. They run a Long Island Iced Tea special on Fridays too, $3 for any kind of Long Island that you want (and they have ten or so to choose from). They also have a full menu of typical bar food, jalapeno poppers, mozarella sticks, burgers, chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, etc. and the quality of the food is very good for a bar.

The bartenders are all stunningly beautiful women, who are really cool, wonderful people once you get to know them. The Sports Page also has three pool tables, and coin-op basketball to keep you entertained. The only drawback to this place is its popularity; weekend nights, the line is usually out the door, and it's the same way for WVU football and basketball games, especially away games.

The only time that they have a cover charge is for the Friday evening happy hour buffet, and nights when there is a pay-per-view UFC fight.

Words can't adequately express how awesome the Sports Page is... If you want an inexpensive place to go out with friends in downtown Morgantown, this is where you should go.

Place was awful.  The chairs are torn up vinyl and you're basically sitting on the metal.  I had a friend visiting from Indiana and they wouldn't let her in because they thought her ID was fake.   I guess the old saying, "you ain't from around here" results in being treated rudely.  Go somewhere else.  There are plenty of other bars in the area.
