Dai Nam

Dai Nam was a recommendation from a client of mine. My old billiards joint on Buford Highway unexpectedly closed down so I was looking for a place to play 3 cushion. If you've never heard of 3 cushion, straight rail, or balk line, you should google it.

Like most people who grew up in the US, I played 8 ball, 9 ball, and straight pool but a few years ago I discovered 3 cushion and fell in love with the game.

Dai Nam is not your regular pool hall....I don't even think they sell alcohol. They have about 10 3 cushion tables (no pocket pool tables), and a couple of megatouch machines. No frills, just billiards for serious players.

I really like this place and the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because their tables aren't the regular competition sized10 ft tables.

I'm not sure if Dai Nam should be considered a hole in the wall because it's decently sized. It would've been a pain to find if not for some expert directions from a friend. It's actually located near the Chucky Cheeses on Jimmy Carter Blvd.

Dai Nam is specifically geared towards the Viet population in the area. The drinks and menus are not even in English. I love the Viet iced coffee served here just like the pho joints. I doubt this pool hall is geared towards the masses, but it suits my purposes just fine.
