My 2nd home, Louisiana. What brought us to Crowley was my mother's 35th High School Reunion, what a blessing. But my brothers & i could handle only so much of ancient stories of Momma's younger years; old enemies now too old to 'playa-hate' and old crushes too many marriages away from good credit.
Hardly noticed we dipped out & made our way to Lafayette. This place was on-point. Pool, loud music, and plenty of cold beer. Although no drink specials, they still had enough daiquiris to last until the next human civilization. I didn't try one this time,--just long necks-- but what we saw will surely have us tip-toe our way in here again the next time we're in the Boot.
Good ol Daiquiris Supreme has been a Lafayette tradition as long as I can remember. The daiquiris here do their job of getting my friends and I "payayed" (unless they are driving, of course).
Daiquiris Supreme is nice enough to mark on the menu when a daiquiri is "STRONG" or "DEADLY." I appreciate that. I also appreciate being able to order boudin balls from the drive-thru window; boudin balls are the perfect compliment to my Banana Bomb.
