Went there once when it wasn't busy and had a very friendly conversation with the waitstaff. The Daiquiris are consistently good and strong (try the Dix).
Went again when it was busy and the service was horrible. Got the wrong size drink (but charged for the larger), had to search for her when we wanted the bill, left dirty dishes for a long time, etc., typical crap service that we are expected to tip 20%. Â
The burgers are ok, otherwise the menu is standard Costco deep fried cancer and in my opinion priced higher than it's worth.
And yes for some reason it was very hard to hear people really close by even though there was nothing particularly awesome to listen to
Almost Famous? Â That's laughable because when I grow old, I will tell my grandchildren about Dix's famous daquiris. #1-there's a drive thru. Â Simply amazing for an out-of-towner. Â #2-It's like a 7-11 slushee wonderland for adults. Â Thank you and I will come again. Â
Atmosphere in the bar and on the patio is relaxed. Â On Saturday night, there was live music. Â Service is prompt and friendly. Â Head to the bar if you're undecided and ask for samples. Â My favorites were the White Russian and the Bellini. Â Get one of your friends to order a small Dix. Â Har har har. Â
If you're staying at the Candlewood Suites, it's a quick walk.
