We tried this place because it was a lot closer than our favorite daiquiri spot and were hoping it was decent so we could stop driving across town for a decent daiquiri. My fiancée got a White Russian and I tried a piña colada. What a mistake, we should have just drove across town. The piña colada has absolutely no taste to it. I didn't know that was even possible. Ok, so some places are cheap and put very little alcohol, but to have absolutely no taste of anything in a piña colada????? That takes some skill.  You can taste the alcohol in the White Russian, but it over powers the entire drink. Whoever made it had no clue what a good White Russian is supposed to taste like. It tastes more like a mudslide gone bad. If you want good daiquiris, go somewhere else. This stuff isn't even edible, we just wasted 18 bucks and I still don't have my piña colada.
Review Source:This little joint has only been open for about 2 weeks. It's super-clean and the folks are really, really nice. If you come inside, they will let you sample many of the varieties of daiquiris. The menu is extensive, and they have a handful of liquors for mixing cocktails, too.
Unfortunately, they aren't able to sell beer or wine, due to a lease restriction with the property owner. AND they're not able to open on Sundays due to the regulations within the City of Broussard. Insanity. But whatev. They are open plenty of other days throughout the week to meet your brain-freezin' needs.
Oh! and ask for some Kajun Koolaid. It'll rock your socks! And then if you add ice cream to it? it tastes like one of those cherry creamsaver life-savers. SO good. SO dangerous.
