7-Pieces of fried chicken, corn bread, collard greens and navy bean soup for 9.95. Wonderful service and great food. I came in hungry and left happy.
People complain that there's no businesses on the South Side. UofC students complain that there's nothing close to campus. Problem is, people don't know where to look. And one of the first places you should start is Daley's my friend. Welcome to Woodlawn.
This place has good home cooked style foods, with great prices.  You get plenty on your plate too, so don't over order.  I would say that this is like Roscoes Chicken & Waffles but Chicago style.  And they're doing  a good job.  It's clientele and employees are real down to earth people.  So if you're too cool for school, maybe this place isn't for you.  But I loved the food and the cost. Â
Beware, the neighborhood is a bit shady, so be aware of what's going on. Â I was solicited to buy some watches and shoes on my way in. Â I declined so I made it out full and safe, Lol....
