  Hmm for a place proclaiming to be an authentic Irish Pub you could have fooled me. Big and spacious with tall ceilings and an uncozy sterile feeling doesn't win you over as you walk through the doors. Felt generic to me.
  
  Have a seat at the wood bar and prepare to be served by the youngest bartender on the Vineyard. Although he has no character and possesses a one word vocabulary- he does his job efficiently. Someone please tell him that when you order a half and half beer like a black and tan or a black and blue you DON'T mix the the two beers together like a martini. Keep them separate chief. Oh well.
  
  We tried ordering some fried calamari on a whim to gauge how the rest of the food might go if we committed to it. Although they fried the calamari in a decent manner the sauce that came with it was comically bad. Imagine a tiny cup of sauce that has zero flavor. Zip, zero, nada. How do you make a tomato sauce taste like water? Sigh..
  
  We paid off the tab and moved on. This place is pretty mediocre by Boston standards, but is likely average for Martha's Vineyard, so I'll say 2.5 stars rounded up to 3. Go here if you happen to be standing directly in front of it and require a beer and not much else.

  We spent the weekend in Oak Bluffs and found a great new REAL Irish Pub.  It's almost across from the Oak Bluff's Town Hall (a couple of doors down from the movie theater).  There was live Irish Music and some of the best Guinness that I have ever had.  The owner (who was also singing) worked the room during breaks.  The place was very friendly, had lots of room, and the music was great.  Definitely a place that you have to stop in at!
