Authentic but expensive. Soba and the soup tasted really fresh. Doesnt have a lot of choices on sushi but those on the menu were good (at least those we ordered).

Yelp has yet to fail me.

Found this place on yelp, and would never have noticed it despite living less than a mile away.

We sampled the Rainbow, Crunchy, Spicy Tuna, and Spicy Lobster rolls. The Crunch was by far the favorite of the night, but all rolls had FRESH fish, and minimal rice. All rolled really well and held together.

We also have come to love red bean ice cream and now know to ask for it. This place provided some as well as green tea to finish off our meal.

From a service standpoint, I wouldn't complain about our service or any of the food arrival times. Our appetizer and the first rolls were brought promptly, and my husband's soda remained full.

We went in on a Wednesday night about 9:30pm. There were 2 other parties in the main dining room, and a private group towards the back. Not crowded at all, but definitely felt nice to not be the only couple there. It is also really nice they are open until 10:30. After living in the city for so long, sometimes it is hard to remember most places in the suburbs don't stay open as late.

    We will be back!

Lets start with the most important point:  this place has -great- fish.

The sushi sampler includes some very melty salmon on both of my trips here as well as some very good tuna, octopus, and a few other fish.  The spider rolls have very fresh and tasty soft shell crab.  They have amberjack which is a little more rare and one of my favorite fish to eat as well as conch which was worth a try.  I saw the chefs preparing a very interesting dish of 5 raw shrimp, heads on, with an assortment of fish that looked very interesting.  I've had uni (urchin) here twice and it was as good as I've had it in the midwest and better than most on the coast.  There are plenty of fantastic cuts of fish, and everything has been fresh and of very good quality.

There is a nice menu of cooked appetizers and entrees as well.  I've had a very interesting BBQ octopus and very big, good fried oysters.  I've also had a bit of a friend's whole cooked fish that was very good.

The only negative I've got for this place is that there isn't much of a selection of rolls.  Maybe 10-12, but most of them are [X fish] combined with avocado.  If you are planning to go roll crazy this may not be your place, but it may also be the perfect kick to get you to order some straight sashimi and really get the flavor and texture of the fish itself.
