Reasonably comprehensive breakfast and lunch place with various bagels, spreads, coffees, sandwiches, etc. Â It's sort of "upscale" and nice. Â I generally like their bagels but sometimes hesitate to go because doing so means entering Planet Teenage Employees and everything that come with that (choosing not to say thank you to the customer, weird looks, texting, saying "like" constantly, etc.). Â Sometimes one just isn't the mood for that so, if you're not, be warned.
Another note about their unusual interpretation of my favorite bagel spread: jalapeno cream cheese. Â Despite it being on their menu, they do not make or sell it. Â What you will get if you order it is normal cream cheese with jalapeno slices on it. Â I would call this a bagel with jalapenos on it..
When I asked about that this morning I got stared at by all three teens working there with palpable disgust, as if I had done something unspeakable, like ban them from Twitter or something. Â However, the adult manager (although also clearly perturbed that I accidentally exposed a problem with their menu) gamely offered to slice them up and make real jalapeno cream cheese, which I declined. Â
I'll go again when my desire for a bagel overcomes my reservations about dealing with not-ready-for-prime-time employees.
I liked this place! Why: food tasty and fresh, prices reasonable, and food served quickly. I had breakfast there recently on a Saturday and the place was bopping. There's a big selection other than just something on a bagel. You place your order and then the food is brought over to your table. I will be back!
Review Source:We just picked up lunch here on a whim and holy wow, I hate the scuzzy sandwich shops near my house even more now. DOaBC is comparatively clean, nicely decorated, and free of funky odors, and the sandwiches are better than at least three places I'm thinking of in Ewing. The inside is dominated by a large serve-yourself drinks console (coffee bar, fountain soda, etc.), with a ring of tables around the wall. There are also a few little tables for two outside on the sidewalk, which is next to the parking lot, but its not bad as those kinds of situations go around here. Counter staff was friendlier than other sandwich places. Each of our sandwiches came with a small whole dill pickle, which is the first time I've seen that among five other places around here. We will definitely be going back to try other parts of the menu.
Review Source:Bagels are always super fresh and tasty. Â They have a pretty varied menu with sandwiches, breakfast choices, coffee, etc. Â I've also tried their chicken salad and a breakfast sandwich and it was pretty good. Â The place always seems to be a bit dirty. They usually have 3 or 4 employees (teenagers) standing around and they could be cleaning the counters, etc. Â
This is the closest bagel shop to my home so its convenient, but if there was something better and cleaner a little farther away I may be inclined to go there. Â Not a bad deal if you're in the area.
When I worked in the area, we used to order from them every once in awhile. All of their stuff is overpriced (Welcome to Pennington) EXCEPT their egg platters. Best value for your money hands down. You get eggs any style (Not sure how many...probably 2-4) with or without cheese, sausage or bacon if you are so inclined, home fries, and a bagel with creamcheese or butter (I recommend their VEGGIE CREAM CHEESE...so good). And it all comes to about 4 bucks...what a steal! This meal itself would warrant 5 stars if they weren't hit and miss when you place a large order with multiple meals. (7 out of 10 times it was great, the other times the eggs were a bit runny, they mess up an order, they forget something, etc.) But when the order was smaller, they seemed to do very well...so I guess that's something to consider if you're buying your co-workers breakfast/lunch.
Now that I work in a different town I probably will not be returning there, but the convenience and value kept me ordering there for many months of working in the area. That is the only thing I have experience with there and the only thing I whole-heartedly recommend. Other things seem good but not good enough for stingy ones like me...I mean who wants to spend 10-15 dollars on breakfast? People from Pennington...
Newly built strip with a refreshing appeal. The deli has numerous menu items to please any taste, including fresh bagel and bakery goods..
Indoor and outdoor seating are available, but did not see any TV's or pickup any wireless siginal or Xfinity Hotspot. Â
My sole purpose for my check-in was to try some "jewish soul food", Lox and Cream Cheese on a Toasted Egg Bagel. Well, it was fabulous. Worth the stop.
This deli is great! Â They have a huge menu choice. Â Lots of regular deli options and many creative sandwich choices. Â (My favorite is the veggie sandwich on multi grain bread). Â Bagels are good, soup is good, I haven't had anything I didn't like from here. Â The prices are average and the service is good!
