I went last night.....
I must say, there were no hood rats, punks, thugs, the scene was mature, classy, Old School.
The LIVE band called "SHOWTYME".....Five Stars!! Old school classy band, that I highly recommend seeing, this band is perfect for weddings,Halloween parties, Xmas parties, etc. Quality
Atmosphere was nice, dark, not too dark, plenty space, and diverse seating.
Security at door was nice and professional, even when my drunk date was annoying him.
I am from N Cal, and live in LA. Tell you what, this scene, band/music, people and the ladies made me proud. Showed up LA, Vegas, any. I was back home kicken old school
Friday July 6th was the WORST experience I've had at Dimitri's and unfortunately it was MY birthday. We finally decided to pay and reserve two booths for my event and what night do we wind up getting? The most ghetto, ratchet, hoodrat, nasty night ever. And if that wasn't enough... security was NOT on the ball. A fight broke out in the middle of the dance floor RIGHT NEXT TO OUR RESERVED TABLES! Â The security guard (tall dark skinned dude) walked in the opposite direction and left his partner (the white guy) to handle a brawl between 3 ruff necks and a hoodrat.
The place was well over capacity and unfortunately for the Owner, it ended with a lot of comp'd tabs and fairfield PD out front. The saddest thing is that I heard our waitress had to be rushed to the hospital because she got trampled in the fight. Such a shame... I will not be returning... And if I do it will not be on a Friday Night! I wish I had better things to say but: in a nutshell.. the food is just ok, bad DJ (hood anthems all night), & non existent security. Â Dimitri get your place together.
I have never been out in Suisun but this place was AMAZING! Came here with a group of friends to celebrate my sister promotion and they had a live cover band playing old school music which put on a GREAT performance! Drinks were DELICIOUS!! I mean that especially since the group I am with we are very particular about our drinks and no complaints and prices were very reasonable. $10.00 cover charge but DEFINITELY worth it. We sat far away from the bar BUT the waitress that was serving us was ON TOP of her game that night. We did not have to wait to place orders and we did not sit long without a drink! So it made it that much more convenient for us and the night very enjoyable for us and our crowd of friends. This is definitely a place I will visit again it's very nice for a local spot. You don't have to get too dressy or you can come dressy but it's not your bar scene :)
The atmosphere I loved it very inviting and the people there were all friendly.
I'm a FAN!
Had an amazing time here last night! Me and my sister came on a saturday night and they had a live band playing old school jams all night. The band was phenomenal and I love live music. I ordered a long island Ice tea and they brought out a huge glass bigger than any i've ever seen for the long island. It was only $10 which I felt was fair since in most places it cost that much for a drink half that size. I'm pretty sure we were some of the youngest women there being only 30 but I didn't care because the ambiance was so nice and I enjoyed seeing the dancers out on the floor enjoying themselves. I was a little thrown off when the band switched up and started playing "aint no fun if the homies can't have none" but I guess they have to play sum newer music. Being that the song has so many cuss words and innapropriate language they pretty much just let the crowd sing it, which was nice cuz I definitely didn't think some of the elderly patrons would have liked it otherwise. All in all if you are into grown and sexy places this is the place to be!!
Review Source:Great little place to hang out on a date or with the girls without the hassle of a club!
I have been here twice during live music and I had a blast each time.
There's an older, mature crowd of patrons, seemingly 30+, drinking and living it up. It's loud enough to dance and sing without worrying about being off key, but still enjoyable for a whispering couple playing snuggly-poo at the cozy little candlelit tables. The music played was usually 80's to current R&B flavors.
It's an attractive, upscale setting. The decor is sexy and intimate, with nice lighting and appropriate AC. There's plenty of seating and a nice little dance floor. The neighborhood is nestled in quiet "downtown" Suisun, just off Hwy 12 and parking is plentiful.
Drinks are gooooood and Daneene the Bartender was super nice and helpful. TRY THE HI-C FRUIT PUNCH! For $9 it'll get you buzzed AND cure your sweet tooth. It came promptly after me asking for something strong that tasted good. It's a Raspberry vodka/ Diaronno concoction. YUM! But, I could only drink half after already having the Apple Punch, which was also super good. Next, time, the Hi-C is going to be my one-hitter-quitter! *wink*
All in all, worth a shot when you're in the mood for a good drink and a two-step.
Usually not very pack but the ambient it's the best of any bar or club in Vacaville, Fairfield, and Suisun City. The drinks are priced right and the bartenders are very friendly. They also have special events all the time. It's a great place to come for a few drinks in a very nice place with friends or even by yourself
Review Source:A friend celebrated her birthday here & rented the VIP section next to the dance floor. I was surprised that the crowd seemed to be in my age group (mostly 40 somethings). The overall atmosphere is cool, security is visible  although I was also surprised that there didn't seem to be any mechanism in place to prevent someone from walking in with a weapon. Maybe I'm naive since I haven't gone to a dance club in a LONG time, but I was fully expecting a metal detector or at least a pat-down for the men. Maybe the lack of this kind of check is a sign that they don't have those types of problems in this establishment.
The dance floor is not very big & it does get crowded very quickly. The music on the Saturday night that I was there was primarily new XXX-rated hip-hop. Again, I'm probably showing my age but it seemed like none of the so-called hot rappers from today were played & there was too much emphasis on local lesser known Bay Area-based acts. Considering the age of the crowd, I thought the night would have been more enjoyable with a few more oldies (i.e. early 2000s / late 90s) songs sprinkled in.
Overall, I'd give 1-star for the music and 4-stars for the atmosphere. Its a cool enough establishment if you're into that sort of thing. I probably wouldn't come back but I had a good enough time to award 3 stars.
The place was very nicely lit and they had a great band performing that night. Dimitri is actually a really friendly guy and makes you want to come back. I had a few of the drinks which were fine but it was the stellar service that really got me. Our waitress made sure we were always ok. The only thing they might want to think about is a bigger dancefloor.
Update: The floor is now bigger, and they have salsa lessons on Wednesdays. Again, the waitress does it for me here, and the music can be changed upon request. Good, timely drinks, attentive waitresses, and a fun atmosphere makes for a well deserved review!
Our first time here, and probably last. Service on all levels was fail. It was comedy night and four of us paid the $12 entry. The website stated that the comedian Adam Bomb was to come on at 8:30pm. He didn't come on until 9:45. DJ-FAIL (FRANK DE LA ROSA) was too busy BS-ing, setting up equipment, yelling obnoxious crap through a sound system that was way too load, even though we were sitting midway back. There was modern rap and hip hop playing, with Prince and other classic music videos projected on the screen behind the stage. FAIL! The AC system was messed up or poorly managed, and our two ladies were freezing. Table service, while we waited was also horrible. I don't think I've tipped this low in years. When the comedian finally came on the DJ filled the stage and 3/4 of the entire room with fog, and had a disco strobe front and center on the stage. The DJ couldn't even see us. The humor and overall atmosphere was catered to people 35-45, which did us little good. If we hadn't paid a cover we would have left sooner. Don't waste your time and money, walk next door to the Cast Iron Grille. Now that is an excellent establishment!
Review Source:upon arriving to Dimitri's around 11:00pm I was told that there was a $10 cover charge per person. Â I asked him if he gave a military discount (as my girlfriend and I are both military spouses) and he told me that he printed an ad in the newspaper for military and we would soon "be taken care of." Â After walking in and meeting my brother there, I found out that each person in his party only paid $5 per person for a cover. Â I figured that since we got there late r the cover went up. Â No more than 5 minutes after we walked in, my husband and his friends walked in and only paid $5 per person!!! Â the place was cool for suisun but because of this incident it sure did leave a nasty taste in my mouth. Â The beverages are good but average between $8-$10 for a specialty drink. Â The highlight of the night was definitely the DJ!!! Â he played all of my requests as i asked him and the dance floor never got too crowded. Â Would mainly go back for the DJ but don't like getting jerked around over a cover charge. Â ESPECIALLY in Suisun
Review Source:This place is amazing. Â I was recommended to check it out by a guy who runs Karaoke at Straw Hat pizza. Â I went last night to see what it was all about and I fell in love with it.
The atmosphere is calming. Â It's dark and the set up is nice. Â There's a stage and a dance floor for performers and fans. Â The food is good, the drinks are better. Â I am SO happy that I found a place that I can unwind at the end of a long day.
Wow! What a find! Dimitri's Lounge is an absolute gem!  Easy parking leads to the brand new venue in downtown (Old Town) Suisun City.  The waterfront is across the street, parking is NOT a problem!  A big curving bar and seating for 230 or so gives everyone an up front seat to some of the best Jazz and Blues live on-stage in the Bay Area.  Great food, cold beers on TAP and artfully constructed well drinks by  professional Baristas combine to make this place JUMP!  We watched Tony X, a lead singer for Santana, and his band perform for 3 oh so SOLID hours last Friday night, the place rocked, danced and clapped all night long!  Fantastic!  Check the site's web pages for

Open mike is EVERY SUNDAY! Â We will see you there! Come check it out and bring your dancing shoes!
