The kilts just throw me off. Nobody in Ireland actually walks around wearing kilts all the time - especially not slutty short ones and especially not working at a bar. I think it's tacky.

Other than that the food is fine. It's a dark pub feeling atmosphere. Great big outside eating area. Stumbling distance (hard to find in West Chester).

Good place to go for beers and sit on the patio.

Fantastic place to eat and socialize. Staff is fantastic. Great outside view too.

From what I experienced, Dingle House is a pub, not a dinner spot.

Ambiance: TVs...everywhere.  That part is fine, I wanted to watch the game.  If you're looking to keep the attention of the people you're with, good luck.  Also, The waitresses all wear short "kilts."  Think Hooters, but with short skirts.

Service: Good, quick, and attentive.  Granted it was expected since about only 3 other tables were full when the time we went.  The food also came out really quick, which is fine since it probably doesn't take long to fry some fish and make a shepherd's pie.

Food:  This is where it goes down hill.  I got the fish and chips. It is part of their "Irish" menu and something they bold a lot on their menu.  The fish and chips also comes with coleslaw.  The slaw is drenched in the dressing.  Every bite I had was about 3/4 dressing and 1/4 slaw.  I may be exaggerating a little, but hopefully you get the point.  The slaw itself wasn't too bad, but it would be a whole lot better if it was swimming in the dressing.

The fries were hot and thick.  Crispy on the outside..and...good on the inside?  I'm not sure how to describe the center of steak cut fries, but they were good.

Now the fish...  I got one large sized steak of their haddock.  When they say huge, it is probably the size of 2-3 normal fried strips of fish.  The haddock itself wasn't bad, the problem I had was with the batter.  It almost tasted like I was eating a stick of butter.  Half a day later it still feels like I ate a stick of butter, I just didn't taste much of anything else with the batter.  The other bad part about the fish is I now have a huge grease spot on my pants where i dropped it...but that's not the reason Dingle House gets two stars.

If you come here for a meal, try to reconsider, the food is just alright and fairly pricey for the lack of flavor.  The beer is also fairly expensive, $4.00 for a bud light.  If you want to come and watch a game and have a beer or look at waitresses in short skirts, give this place a try.  Otherwise I wouldn't suggest coming.

    The Dingle House was A-OK.

You walk in and it's your typical Irish Pub maybe a little cleaner. There is a cute fireplace in the back. The crowd here seemed to be older business type men which was odd. The beer selection is great. Everyone with us seemed to be satisfied with their brews.

The menu is quite large with everything from salads, to burgers, to steak. I ordered the potato soup. It was nothing special, needed salt and pepper, but it was nice on a cold day. I also ordered a half salad with chicken which was still HUGE. So beware. The regular salad was 12.99? That is just crazy to me for a salad. My boyfriend got the $5 burger for burger night and although there was nothing wrong with it, there was really nothing good about it either. It was just very basic and plain. You can't get a regular burger off the menu for $5 you can just get the regular "pub burger" I think is what it is called.

I probably wouldn't come running back here, but if I was in the area I would rather spend my money here than any of the other chains in the surrounding this area.

The food was terrible, the staff was slow but the drinks were a nice selection.  If you want a below average meal, look no further.  Go for the beer selection and that's it.  The servers are attractive but they are not very good.

We stopped by the Dingle House in the middle of a Saturday afternoon after a little shopping to enjoy cold beverages in a pub atmosphere.  The place was fairly quiet mid-afternoon, but I know from past experience that we were enjoying the calm before the Saturday night storm.  Many patrons lined the bar, but we usually escape to a table for a little more privacy.  I would recommend the dining area to the right of the door, as it is a bit more quaint especially next to the fireplace.  There's TVs aplenty if want to catch up on the latest scores.  The draft beer list is impressive and I would recommend the 5 beer sampler where you can discover new favorites 5 ounces at a time.  We have tried several of the appetizers and the fried pickles are our favorite.  The servers are always cheerful and attentive.  If you are looking for a true pub environment, you can't go wrong dropping by the Dingle House.

I've had better I've had worse. I ordered the lobster ravioli here and it was actually pretty decent. For bar food. The service was so so. The beer selection was not bad but not great. Overall I gave this review a 3 star because that's what it is average.

I am surprised that I haven't reviewed this place yet as it's one of our suburban favorites.  We have spent many meals and nights drinking at Dingle House and have never been disappointed.  The restaurant is nice and often has live music, which can be too loud at times.  There is a small, but lovely, patio that is perfect in the summer.  There are both shaded and unshaded seats, giving you a variety of options.

Their food is good and has always tasted fresh.  Their cheese sauce for fries, chicken fingers, etc is especially delicious!  I haven't had their Irish fare (I'm a picky eater) but others have seemed to enjoy it.  Service is generally friendly but can be hit or miss as far as attentiveness.  I do appreciate that most of their servers are familiar with their beer selection and able to offer up suggestions.

That brings me to the best part of Dingle House: beer.  The selection is large and diverse.  I like that they have beer lists on all the tables and also have it written on a large chalkboard so that it is simple to order.  They now list beer prices on their menu, complete with the happy hour price.  No surprises here!  I would like to think they read Yelp reviews and saw others suggesting having the prices listed.

Another great aspect of Dingle House is that they allowed me to bring Arlene, my cat, onto the patio.  I called ahead and asked if they allowed pets on their patio and they said yes.  They were quite shocked, but friendly, when I showed up with a cat on a leash!  They were extremely nice to her and even gave her a bowl of water without me having to ask.  It's the little things like that small gesture of thoughtfulness that keep me coming back!

I'm going to start with the bad and then get to the good.

I'd give this place a solid 2 stars for food. It wasn't bad but it was disappointing. I had the Kildare meatloaf which would have been tasty had it been warm all the way through to the center. It seemed like it was made last night and then re-heated on the grill. My friends ordered the bangers & mash and were not thrilled with the sausages (verdict: They were bland). However, we all agreed that the mashed potatoes and gravy were very tasty. Hopefully, we just caught the kitchen on an "off" lunch.

Now, I'm going to give our server 4 stars. She was just plain great; attentive and quick with our food/drinks/checks. Oh, I should say that this place has a decent beer selection so that should go into the "plus" column.

So, I averaged my score and gave them a 3. Not terrible but not great either. They are Ikea-adjacent so there's that.

a date night gone wrong.  i don't often issue 1-star reviews, but methinks this one deserves it.

the stars may have aligned to provide the worst possible date experience, so i'll try to stick to the facts and let you decide for yourself.

-1 for weird restaurant name.  that's all.

+1 for location.  if you happen to already be in the 'burbs, the dingle house is located right in the heart of union center.  about a minute from I-75.

+1 for lots of nearby parking.  you may have to walk around the building.

-1 for noise.  when my date and i walked in, we were surprised to be slammed by a wall of noise.  i don't know whether it was the acoustics of the large eating area, or if people were actually loud, but this was considerably louder than your typical pub setting.

+0 for lots of eating space inside.  on one hand, lots of space is a good thing.  on the other, it makes the restaurant seem very corporate.

-1 for the over-use of kilts.  i saw one dude rocking a Utilikilt, which was funny.  all of the female staff were apparently required to wear tiny kilts.  (let's forget for a moment that ladies in ireland don't wear kilts.)  even so, these kilts were distastefully skimpy.  nice job keeping it classy...

+0 for average pub-type atmosphere.  on one hand, lots of wood (colored) decor.  on the other, it seemed overly plastic.

+1 for having a nice outdoor seating area, where we sat.

-1 for having a dirty, sticky table when we were seated.  it hadn't been completely bussed.

-1 for taking considerable time for our waitress to notice us.  when she did, she bothered to pick up the previous patron's check, but not to clean off the table.

+0 for typical pub menu.  prices were slightly high.

-1 for being short-staffed.  servers around us were so rushed that i can't really blame them much for being so forgetful.  this is a management problem.

-1 for taking 10 minutes to bring us our waters.

-1 for taking 25 minutes to bring us our appetizer (fried pickles).

+1 for above-average fried pickles.  they were flat long-wise slices, instead of typical quartered spears.

-1 for not keeping our beverages filed.  my glass spent most of its time empty.

-1 for taking over 30 minutes to bring us our burgers--and only after we asked our server to check on our food.

-1 for bad burgers.  we both ordered them medium, but received them well-done.  they were dry, tasteless, and (again), plastic.  i rarely leave meat on my plate, but i couldn't stomach finishing the burger.

+0 for decent pub fries.  i thought they tasted pretty good, but that may have been only in comparison to the bad burgers.  my date didn't like the fries.

-1 for atmosphere outside.  a drunk guy nearby spilled beer and ran into my date's chair.

-1 for terrible live music outside.  i'm usually fairly sympathetic to local artists, but it was clear that nobody was enjoying the music.  my date and i couldn't take it, so we tried to leave ASAP.  he was too loud, flat, his guitar not tuned, and a not-very-entertaining personality.

-1 for not enforcing the state smoking policy.  we were seated on the outer fence of the patio, and several times thorough the evening, someone would step outside the fence and smoke.  this is fine, except that they were smoking 3 feet away from our table.  seriously?  if i could have gotten the manager's attention, i would have asked him about it.

-1 for having stomach issues later that evening.  i can't prove anything, but it makes me wonder since the last meal i ate was at the dingle house.

i tipped well since most of our problems were not our server's fault.  in fact, i feel bad that she was forced to carry so many tables.

if management wants to improve the "plastic" nature of this restaurant, then management really needs to make some considerable changes.

i do not recommend this place.  in fact, i'd recommend avoiding it.  however, maybe you'll have better luck than we did.  as for my girl and i, we've had our fill of plastic pubs.  we won't return.

I've gone here a number of times - not my favorite spot, but definitely not my least favorite either.  The decor of the place is somewhat homey, but the amount of televisions the place has turns it from a traditional English/Irish pub to more of an American sports bar, so if it's quiet you're looking for, you won't find it here.

I can't remember a time where I had a bad experience with service at the Dingle House - even when it's crowded, food has gotten to us relatively quickly and drink orders are often perfect.  Speaking of drinks, Dingle House has a very nice variety of beers and is often cycling in different brews according to the seasons.  As for the food, it's your typical English/Irish pub grub, so outside of a few salads, expect a lot of hearty/heavy eats.  Their Irish stew isn't bad, but there's never been a time where I've been blown away by their food.

Good place to stop by for drinks after a movie at the Rave or the like, but if you're looking for a bite, there's a number of better places in the area.

We went here for drinks after a Miami icehockey game and it was ok. But not necessarily a place I would seek out.

The music was very loud, but we found a table right at the back where we could actually understand each other.

My friends had a burger and onion rings and they liked it. I had a strongbow cider, can't do anything wrong with that.

So all in all an ok place but nothing I was particularly excited about.

Went last Saturday night after not visiting for quite some time and was reminded why I had not been in any hurry to patronize The Dingle House.

First and foremost, the place is loud. LOUD. The clientele is smelly, like a big cheap floozy. The live music that evening was reminiscent of Marty and Bobbie Culp. Their spirited rendition of a Black Eyed Peas song had us gasping for air. There may be televisions? I don't recall. The place was so loud and smelly, I could barely see straight.

Dingle House's saving grace? Beer selection. They have an extensive draught line-up (think The Pub at Rookwood) and I have gladly enjoyed a pint or two (ha!) of their Rogue offering or Young's Double Chocolate Stout.

We were there just for the beer so I can't comment on the food. I've had the turkey burger in the past and it was decent.

    The service was efficient. Woot.

The parking situation kind of sucks.

The highlight? The men wear kilts (never mind that kilts are a Scottish thing and this place claims to be an "Irish" pub). Since the days of my misspent youth during which I developed a crush on a muumuu wearing Jon Fishman, I have adored a man who is manly enough to wear a skirt. And the men of The Dingle House do not disappoint.

In summation, if you would like to scream at your companions while ogling men in kilts, The Dingle House is your kind of pub.

Meanwhile, you can find me at The Village Tavern. Now, there's a bar.

As much as I feel like I should like the Dingle House, I just can't force myself to do it. Honestly, I wasn't even sure about giving this place three stars. Let me explain why, first the good, then the bad.

On the good side, the Dingle House is a nice break from the normal in what is a very much suburban, cookie cutter, area, which is the main reason I am giving it three stars instead of two. The decor is very nice, there is an excellent beer selection, and there are even a few really cute waitresses who work here that will inevitably catch your eye, if you're of the male gender that is. I can easily see why this is a good place for people who live in West Chester to meet up with friends and have a few drinks.

Now, let me explain what keeps me from truly liking the Dingle House any more than I do. First, this place is entirely too expensive. I guess if you make the amount of money most people who live in West Chester do, that isn't a big deal, but I don't. I am a college kid and I work a retail job. To me, having a few beers and an appetizer and having a $30 bill seems ridiculous. Secondly, the food is alright, but it is nothing to write home about. Their fish sandwich is alright, but it is far from being the best I have ever had. Also, their take on cheese sticks look like toes, and that just freaked me out.

In the end, the Dingle House isn't the worst place you could meet up with friends with a few drinks on the north side of town, but is definitely not the best either. If you're looking for the feel of a pub that offers excellent beer, I would recommend checking out the Cock & Bull a few miles south in Glendale. The food is better, cheaper, and on some nights you can even keep your glass.

I moved to the Cincinnati area over a year ago, and am still discovering restaurants.  I happened upon the Dingle House while searching for information on the Union Centre Food & Music festival that took place earlier this month, and decided to try it out before seeing a band with some friends.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm.  Service was a little slow, but it was Saturday night and our waitress was running her tail off and was very good to us!  Great variety of food, decent prices.  I had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries, and both were excellent.  Paired it with a beer flight (5 beer samples for $8 - not bad at all) from their excellent draft selection of both familiar and want-to-try beers (their bottled selection was also nice).  I'm hoping to go back with my family, so we'll see how "kid-friendly" they are at a later time.  But I'm definitely going back!!

Oh, and the men wear kilts.

I went with a group of friends to the Dingle House for our monthly get-together.  I had never been before, and didn't really know what to expect.  Have to say, as an urbanphile who cringes about the sameness of West Chester, this place stands out.  The warm interior along with the abundance of TVs showing sports really make this a nice place to eat, drink, and hang.  There was a live acoustical band playing, which also added to the ambience of the place.

They were celebrating their third anniversary here, and to commemorate, all the pints of draft beer were $3, and menu items were 30% off.  I had a couple different ones, and there was a wide selection of craft beers and imports. There's also a great selection of bottles.  I ordered the Reuben with the potato wedges, $8.99 (menu price), and was pleased with the taste, and the sauce.  There's a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, entrees, appetizers, and other pub-style food like fish & chips.

Noting that our group generally avoids chain restaurants (at least national chains)- I'd say the Dingle House was definitely worth trying.

It's refreshing to find something that is not a chain located in West Chester. That being said, I did get lost in the corporate complex trying to find the pub. There's something about miles of identical grey buildings that disturbs me. Walking inside, the environment was a surprise: stone walls, cherrywood tables, Celtic music, and servers wearing kilts (yes, even the men.)  It reminded me of an Irish Hofbräuhaus.

For dinner, we each had the fish n' chips. A huge platter came out with a plank of crisp, battered cod, seasoned potato wedges, and coleslaw. Delicious and right on par with what I desire from an Irish Pub. I also had the Lindeman's Frambroise. It's a beer for the non-beer drinker, as it tastes more like a sparkling raspberry cider. They also carry a seasonal peach flavor, but raspberry is the best. Lindeman's is expensive: $7.50 for a bottle.

The downside to Dingle House? Their beer menu doesn't list the prices, so you don't find out the damage until your bill arrives. It was also loud, very LOUD. Not because of the crowd, but because of the music, especially when the live Celtic band showed up. I couldn't hear our conversation from across the table.

Price per person (entree, 2 beers): $30.00

So, I've been meaning to write this review for quite a while... The Dingle House is the kind of place that you can always rely on to be a decent time. Of course, a key part of this is the company you keep :) The following is a list of things that keeps me coming back time and again, in descending order:

    1) Ambiance. The place is nicely appointed and has a great looking pub-style bar! There are a few other pub-type places in the region and it's one of the nicest. There's plenty of natural light from windows and there are just enough flat screen televisions.  The interior designer did a great job in my opinion.

    2) The food is traditional pub-fare, but there are also options from other cuisines as well, such as chicken parmesan. Having been born and raised by my father who's a Brit and also great chef, I have come to appreciate British/Irish fare for what it is when done properly.  Don't get me wrong, this is not the best food I've had -- the reason I give this place a 4/5 is because of a combination of factors delineated in this list. One should try the fish and chips, and bangers an mash. I don't eat beef, can't comment on the shepherd's pie (which should be completely made of lamb to be authentic) and the Irish stew, but have heard they are decent. I am particularly a fan of the wings! Some thing you should know about me: buffalo wings are like crack to me. I'm also very particular about how I like them cooked and can be quite critical of the quality, especially of a chain that tends to serve tiny wings. Dingle House doesn't mess around. Their wings are BIG and MEATY and the hot variety are pretty good! Give 'em a try and let me know what you think. Finally, the chips are more like potato wedges... come on, they should serve proper chips (fries) if they are going to call themselves an authentic pub. In all, the food is one reason I keep coming back.

    3) The draught beer selection is decent. They have beers from around the world and also some micro brews -- I'd estimate about 20 on tap -- which is not bad for a place this size.  They have the pub favorites such as Bass, Harp, Boddington's, Guinness and Smithwick's, and also some regionals like Bell's and Great Lakes, to name a few. A cold 16oz Pint is what you can expect!

    4) Since this place is never packed when I go, I usually get timely service without any errors in my order. The waitresses wear kilts and knee high stockings, if you're into that sort of thing.  I do remember on some visits that the place is understaffed. Hopefully, this resolves once business picks up and is more steady. The waitstaff does get flustered during these occasions and perhaps just letting customers know that they are doing the best they can would be the best way of handling the situation, just so no one gets the wrong idea.

    5) I love the midwest. The prices here are reasonable and if you go on days when they have specials, it's a great deal! $3 for a pint of good imported/seasonal beer cannot be beat! Sundays are my favorite: $9.95 traditional pub fare (fish and chips, bangers and mash, etc) $3 for all pints and 30 cents per wing. (as of 7/6/2011)

So that's how I feel about the place, and as a resident of West Chester, you'd be hard pressed to find a place with the combination of benefits that I noted above. Check it out and maybe I'll see you there!

As I will begin my reviews of most places in West Chester, it's West Chester. Keep your expectations low, and you won't be disappointed. Sometimes, you'll even be pleasantly surprised.

If you are a big beer fan, like my fiance, this place is fantastic. They have a great selection on tap and they also have a wide variety of bottles. They win me over with their cider options and Lindeman's Framboise.

As for food, they have a pretty solid menu. Fish and chips are about average, but they have a really great appetizer selection.

My biggest complaint about The Dingle House is that sometimes the service can be a little less than desirable. I stopped in with a few friends after a rousing night of laser tag (yes, I am a 12 year old). It was later at night, but before the crowds hit and my fiance and I were the only ones to order an alcoholic beverage. Everyone else stuck to water or soda, and there were a few apps ordered. That night the Leinenkugel girls were there passing out samples and one of the girls accidentally spilled a beer all over our table and my friend. When we asked our waitress for some extra napkins, she barely acknowledged us and, after waiting ten minutes, we just went up the bar to get our own. After a few more rude incidents and witnessing her being extremely nice to the table of older gentlemen next to us (who happened to be ordering lots and lots of drinks), my friend went to speak to the manager. The manager ended up comping our entire check, which was not necessary, but we weren't going to complain. We hurried up and scurried out before anything else could happen, and I witnessed the waitress run to the window and glare at us as we walked to our cars.

Other than that, it's not a bad little place and it actually gets quite lively on a Friday or Saturday night!

I had lunch at the Dingle House for the first time.  Overall, my wife and I had a good experience.  We didn't get there until 2pm, so the place was, rightfully so, a bit empty.  It has all the appearances of a proper Americanized Irish pub and restaurant.  The service was pleasant and attentive.  Both my wife and I enjoyed are food (fish and chips for me and a chicken caesar wrap for her).  I'm not a beer drinker, but I was surprized to see so many offerings available.  The big knock on the Dingle House (other than I keep wanting to call it the Dingle Berry House because sometimes I think like a 7 year old) is that they serve Pepsi products and not Coke products.  How can any bar not offer Coke products?  Who ever orders a Bacardi & Pepsi or a Captain and Pepsi?

Fish n chips. The chips were seasoned with awesome (can't remember the spices) so this made it stand out compared to fish n chips I typically order at other pubs. Great music for the scene and generally happy people. Can't argue with it.

Went back there after a long absence.  This time went with The Hoff and my dad, who was visiting from NJ.

This place gets four stars for its amazing draught beer offerings.   I would come here for the Young's Chocolate Double Stoudt, or is that Double Chocolate Stoudt?  Whatever.  It's delicious!    The Guiness on tap is also great.

The fish and chips were good as well.

We ate outdoors, which is nice.  The view isn't great - just some office buildings, including the relocated AK Steel Headquarters - but at least it's fresh air, and it's away from the road, so you don't inhale too many fumes.

The atmosphere is good and the outdoor seating overlooks the West Chester Pavillion, which is very nice.

The food is what you'd expect and good.  They have pretty good appetizers like, fried pickles, spinach and artichoke dip and crab cakes.  Crab cakes?  Yes, they are actually one of the best places for crab cakes to me.  Their Wedge Salad is good too..assuming  they don't burn the bacon.  The Irish Stew and Shepherds Pie are pretty good, but my preference is the Irish Stew.  The pulled pork sandwich is surprisingly good considering it's not supposed to be a specialty at an Irish Pub and it comes with a very nice pasta salad.

Overall I am very happy with the service, but there is one waitress that leaves me feeling raw.  I ordered the turkey burger, which came out burnt.  It was obvious by looking at it, but I took a bite anyway.  Nope, not gonna go down!  So, I asked the waitress to take it back and bring a new one.  She proceeded to come back out and started pushing me about the issue.  'Did I actually try it?' she asked!  Wow, then went on more about the cooking process of a turkey burger, blah blah blah.  Other places can serve a turkey burger without burning it...work it out.  I got the feeling it was the chef/cook pushing the issue with her and she felt the need to bring it my way...well, don't.

I have been back only once since then and that waitress was the one who served us.  It went ok.  I didn't pay attention to her name, but if we ever go to negative town again, I'll be sure to find out.

I can honestly say I wasn't super impressed with this place. I had dinner with work buddies on a road trip and the atmosphere was close but not really what I thought of as an Irish pub.

I had the open faced meatloaf sandwich and it was pretty good but not as flavorful as I thought it would be. They do grill the meatloaf which I thought was interesting, but the wedge fries weren't very crispy and I wasn't impressed with the cole slaw.

The wait staff all wear 'kilts' which seems to be the thing as of late, again a thing I don't understand in an Irish pub since they originate from Scotland.. I would probably come back here, but i wouldn't go out of my way to do so..

Okay, Here's the deal.  Dingle House is good, they have their issues but don't we all.  The beer selection is great, but you have to like craft brews and have an open mind to appreciate the quality of them.  That also brings me to the point that I need to tell you that you will have to pay a little more than your average pub prices.  Don't go to Dingle House thinking your at a casual dining restaurant.  Go in knowing your in a pub and that the service isn's going to be five star and the food is pub grub.  I suggest setting at the bar, get to know the bartender, ask questions, be open with what you like and don't like, ask for samples, ask what's good to eat.  Christian always takes care of us when we're in and most of the bartenders have gotten to know us now.  That's what a pub is, it's a relationship you have with the establishment and the people who work there.  So go, eat, don't think about it too much, have a good time and get a little tipsy.

Nothing on the menu will surprise you, but the food is good and the beer selection is great.  Comfortable atmosphere, which seems to pick up during the weekends.  I've been a few times, the last was a Saturday evening with my wife and kids.  The live music was a plus, and the service was very good.  Overall a good place to hang with friends, grab a few cold ones, and enjoy some decent pub grub in the Westchester area.

A friend invited folks to hang out at Dingle House for his birthday.  In my opinion, the place is not conducive to just hanging outv - it's really a restaurant with a bar.  They have a good variety of beer for us beer snobs.  But the service SUCKED!  I was ordering for myself and three others.  I told him what I wanted and then the others (they all ordered Smithwicks, so that was easy).  He came back with the 3 Smithwicks and then said, "what can I get you?"  like he had never seen me before.  Duh!  The servers, clad in plaid (kilts), rarely smiled.  Since there were many of us there for this "celebration" we all sat at separate tables and the birthday boy hopped from one table to the next.  I didn't order any food, but from the poor service and the location in the middle or a desolate office complex, I don't think I'll be returning on my own freewill.

The food was pretty good and I really like the beer selection but the prices are too high for the beer. I wouldn't mind too much if I knew how much it was before ordering but it is never good to be surprised by $7 beer.

Good food, great beer!  There are a lot of nearby businesses and this seems to be a favorite place for an after work drink, so if you don't favor a crowd I would avoid between 5 and 7 pm on weekdays.  This is a great place to go on a Sunday afternoon (kid friendly).

We stopped at the Dingle House for a post-wedding celebration.  It was accommodating to our large group of people.  The selection of beer was great.  I didn't have any food but it looked good...pricey, but good.

It was a solid hang out with a nice interior and helpful and fun wait staff.

An extensive draft beer selection. The bar is beautiful-- all carved wood. The Irish theme is kept up with the interior, but is thrown off a bit by the Scottish kilts. I really enjoyed the Bangers and Mash, but overall the menu selection is limited. Come here for a drink definitely, but if you're looking for a place to eat, this would not be the place.

Great draught beer selection at a reasonable price. A pint is an actual pint which I love. Discounted beers on Wednesday nights = great  deal!

I finally made it to Dingle House.  I tried back in March, but I had a group of 25 & was told it would be at least a 2.5 hour wait.  This time it was a smaller group and we headed there right after church for dinner.  I was excited to see my favorite beer Hoegaarden on the menu, but not so impressed with the food menu.  There isn't much to choose from, but everyone loved their food.  I chose the Celtic Chicken Salad (though minus about half of what it usually comes with) & I thought it was great.  I had a bite of the Irish Egg Roll & while I usually don't like egg rolls, it was pretty good.

Wonderful draft beer selection. There are so many and they are so good. The food we had (during lent) was excellent. This fish and chips were so big my husband and I had to split a plate. The chips could have been crispier, they were a bit soggy. We also had a salad, very delicious and the fried oysters on a half shell, excellent.

The only complaint is that another group was seated before us because they knew the waiter in that section. I called them out on it and they did their best to seat us where we wanted next. I do admit however I'm anal about where I sit in a restaurant. The first place they tried to seat us was some shoddy table by the kitchen door with wobbly seats. No thanks!

The food is tasty (although a bit overpriced) and the atmosphere is comfortable and seemingly authentic.  The atmosphere could easily be the biggest disappointment as well.  It feels a bit trendy and overdone.  Service is always consistent and friendly and the outdoor seating is a nice option.  The beer selection is the obvious strong point here, but it is also frustrating to have an ever-changing list that isn't represented in the menu.  Overall, it can be a fun place to get good food and beer, but your best bet is to shoot for a weeknight when it's quieter.

Loved the Dingle House. Having recently been in County Kerry, Ireland and on the Dingle Penisula where we had many excellent meals, we wondered how the Dingle House would compare.  In our opinion, it was very successful. The food was great with fresh ingredients. From the clam chowder to the ravioli, everything was terrific. We look forward to returning.

The Dingle House is an Irish pub located in West Chester, that is as close to authentic as possible in a newly constructed facility. I ate here on their first day open, and the food, service and atmosphere was quite good considering it was their first lunch for the public. They have an immense bar that was imported from Ireland that looks awesome. They have a smart looking wait staff decked out in kilts, who were polite and attentive. The place is bigger than it looks, with lots of room inside. The food was quite good. Our party had the rueben, the fish and chips, and a turkey burger--all tasty and just the right size portions. The Dingle House will become another great lunchtime option for West Chester, as well as a great after work drinking spot. Recommended.
