We had a DiNolfo's Homer Glenn wedding in March of 2011. The bar tending staff was amazing (remembered every guest's drink order, fast). The food was par (limited menu)

We wanted a nontraditional Cocktail reception on a Friday immediately following ceremony. The in-house chapel and window room was a great perk. DiNolfo told us we could customize the menu, that they would bring in highboy cocktail tables and we could customize some of the decor. We signed (great deal and customizeable package). 3 weeks prior to the wedding, we checked in and they handed us their banquet package list and menu (not the cocktail reception we had requested) and would not work with us for additions even when we agreed to pay more. I also offered to order food outside of their menu from other caterers at my own cost and that was not agreeable. Suffice to say, I ended up renting (added charge) my own high cocktail tables the week of the wedding.

The pictures were beautiful because of the venue's tall ceilings, winding stair case, picture windows and chandeliers, but the promised customizeable decor, table arrangement and menu selections were not fulfilled.

My review is based on one tour.

My fiance and I viewed Dinolfo's in Homer Glen back in the spring time of 2012. It was our first stop on our tour of venues and it was also recommended to us by my hair stylist (she just had her reception there in July 2012). This Dinolfo's is newer than the one in Mokena (we didn't tour that one). Also, this area of 159th is more open fields/farms than big businesses. I would say that gives a bride extra picture opportunities.

To tour the space, you don't need an appointment, but I called ahead of time just in case. We toured the place with Richard, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. I believe he said the venues were family owned. First, Dinolfo's is huge. I think Richard told us they could have four weddings at once, but I heard from a little birdy that the venue could hold six weddings. That was off putting. I wasn't sure I wanted to share my day with so many other brides and their families. Yes, they have wall dividers for the spaces, but all the weddings share the bathrooms. Our 150 person guest list would get us a long, narrow, windowless room. Richard was really trying to sell us on extra lighting. I wasn't buying it.

Don't get me wrong. The space was modern and clean, the pricing was great and the list of options was huge (private bridal suite is always a plus). That's why I'm giving it four stars, however, there was a huge deterrent to this place. They won't let you try the food before your wedding. Even after you book, no food tasting for you. Richard said they go on word of mouth. That seemed really wrong and almost shadey. Despite all that, Dinolfo's still remained at the top of our list until we found the winning venue.

If you like eating frozen vegetables, this place is for you!

I cannot comment on any of the other food, since I ordered a veggie meal.

1 Star for the gorgeous building + women's bathroom.

A very nice to hold a wedding and not at the same time.

I recently attended a wedding here and it was a very nice building to have it in with ample parking space for guests.  The things I didn't like about the place were that it felt like you were very cluttered in with the other wedding receptions that are being held in the ballrooms next to your own.  You could hear, at times, some of the music from the other rooms but it wasn't overwhelming by any means.  The staff was incredibly friendly to everyone and helped make the mood as well.  The food was pretty good but nothing to talk about for days to come.  The other knock on the place would be that it was in the middle of nowhere and people who stayed at the "nearest" hotel had to drive for 20 minutes just to reach the place.  I don't think I've ever had to travel that far to get to a hotel ever.  I'm not picky about these things but I when I was looking for places to stay for the night, because there was an open bar, I couldn't find anything close enough.  Needless to say, I had to get a cab to take me back to the hotel afterwards.  Overall, not too bad a place to hold events at but just keep in mind the hotel situation mainly if you are planning on holding over for the night.

We had our dream wedding here August 6th. It was absolutely beautiful, they really went above and beyond for us. When we first stepped into our room all set up (Maple), it literally took my breath away. The linens, lights, centerpieces, etc were so beautiful. Everything was perfect. They were so helpful with seating, keeping track of our things for us, really excellent service. We really feel like we got a great value for our money, and the Exclusive Package was well worth the negotiated cost. The bridal suite was amazing, the gazebo, staircases, balcony provided perfect pictures, and even with every room booked, there was so much room, couldn't hear the next wedding, etc. Just absolutely loved it, could not have had a better wedding anywhere else.

Had our wedding here a few weeks ago.  Super clean, the place was set up as we specified (lights, tables, sweetheart table, etc.)  The owners are great to work with.  Rich was super nice & made sure we had everything as we wanted.  The staff were nice and our server for our table, Andrea, made sure my husband and I were well-attended to during our dinner.  Everything was super clean.  (I'm really particular about cleanliness and customer service.)

The food was good. Not super yummy/salivating awesome...but "good".  Our guests had huge chunks of meat so they were very pleased.  (Husband and I had salmon.  Guests were given a choice of salmon, chicken, or prime rib.)

Heard from our guests that the alcohol was a bit weak.  (We paid for an open bar for our guests.  My husband and I don't drink.)

Overall, a good wedding vendor to work with. Great customer service!

I attended an event at DiNolfo's in Homer Glen recently.  The management staff was VERY unprofessional and RUDE.
The food was average at best.  Some was not very hot.
There were at least four parties going on.  All of the rooms looked like they were packed to the gills.  The other rooms had DJs.  Ours had a band.  There was no platform for the band, just mats thrown on the floor.
The band was squeezed in between tables  - somewhat uncomfortable for the guests at those tables.  I was surprised that nobody tripped on the band's equipment.  I hope the bride and groom's families did not put out a lot of money for this event.  I would definitely look elsewhere.

I went to a wedding here a few months ago and I think that OK sums up the banquet hall adequately. I would give it more stars but I really think that this place lacks essential attention to detail that is required for an event like a wedding. I am not cutting them any slack because it is a banquet hall, if you throw these events all the time you should know what you are doing! I want to make it clear that this is a review specifically for the banquet hall, not the wedding obviously. The wedding itself was a beautiful and fun five star event!
Back to the hall. I think that it is quite nice that there is a chapel upstairs and the hall downstairs, very convenient. The entrance and the banquet hall were extravagant and pretty. The thing is that the chapel upstairs is so small, literally half the guests had to stand outside the chapel during the ceremony. I didn't like that very much.
There weren't enough tables at the reception either. Each table was packed with too many guest, we were sitting on top of each other. It was so crowded that I couldn't get my legs under the table while I was eating. Very uncomfortable.
The food was quantity over quality. There was a ton of it but it just wasn't very good.
Overall it is a nice place to have a wedding but there should be some more thought and care put into the comfort of the guests and the quality of the food.

My beef is with the wait staff, first off, how dare they clean off our tables when the music starts... don't they know that after alittle dancing your parched!?  The 3rd time our waitress took our full alcoholic drinks from the table, I about lost it... this party was 'cash bar' and for a low end whiskey the drink was 7dollars, and for this young, maybe 17 year old brat that woulnd't respond to "excuse me Miss" to take my "expensive drink" again!  I asked her what her deal was and she just said, "ill call the manager."  The manager never came, and neither did the waitress... I'm not surprised if she passed out drunk from stealing our drinks!!

Hopefully they hire new catering management, because dinner wasn't served properly, twice did we have to call attention to get dinner plates to the guest sitting with no food. uhh hellooooo.
