If you looking for local Cheers type bar in this area, Paddy B's is it. Â There's always plenty of discussion going on across the U shaped bar. Â There's plenty of regulars that come in here, but newcomers will enjoy the ambiance. Â
The crowd is thirty and over, and the place is very clean. Â This family run bar is a throwback to when the local bar was the gathering spot for the community and everyone knew your name.
The thing about Paddy B's is that you have to either happen to go there on a night that there's something special going on, like the nights of the Gaelic Park Irish Fest, or go with a ton of people you know. Cause the 'regular' crowd there can be a little sketchy.
UPDATE June 2010: It's no longer there! They're moving farther west I believe. Oh well. No loss.
If you love local dive bars, then you'll love Paddy B's. It's located in Old Orland Park and it is the quintessential dive bar. On the weekends, in the back room they do Karaoke and it can be kinda fun. You usually get to sing as much as you want to. Between that and the cheap drinks, you gotta love it!
