The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 25 lodge is a great place to go for a drink after a long day. Why go to another bar in and around Danbury when you can drink and help support Veterans all at the same time? The crowd is most definitely an older crowd, but don't let that deter you. Veterans, and those that are support them, are all ages.
Don't expect to see hard-to-find alcohol here. It's the basics. Some alcohol for different mixed drinks, a few choices of beer, and even less choices when it comes to wine. However, they should have a choice for every preference. I went here for the annual holiday party which is thrown completely by one of the bartenders, Terry. Music, food, and drinks. It was everything that you needed for a fine holiday party.
I am going to be working on a membership to the DAV in due time. From what I have experienced so far, the group is very welcoming.
