Disney's Boardwalk

Fun and entertaining area

Walked around the Boardwalk and relaxed while waiting for fireworks last week.  We were told you could see the Epcot Center fireworks from the boadwalk.  Parking was atrocious;  one little lot for all that weren't at the inn or the convention center.  Somehow we found a spot and made our way over.  They have all kinds of shops and food places available.  There are street performers and there was even a DJ that night keeping the crowd going.  I had probably the best funnel cake i've ever had in my life there.  Nice place to spend the time in the Disney mini-city.

The Boardwalk is our favorite Disney Vacation Club resort in Disney World (with Animal Kingdom a very close second).

Easy access to Epcot (short walk or boat) and Hollywood Studios (long walk or boat).  Rooms with views of the boardwalk are well worth the extra dollars or points (DVC).  We had a boardwalk view on our first stay but opted for a standard view this time and it did affect our overall experience.  When we return, it will be in a boardwalk view room.

A nice pool (though we prefer the Animal Kingdom and Beach Club pools).

The only drawback is the lack of a Quick Service restaurant.

This is a pretty neat area in the evening! The food is reasonably priced for Disney and it's very picturesque.
