This was our first visit to this joint. I asked for a certain drink. I know my whiskey brands very well. When I was served I told the waitress this was not what I ordered. A short time she brought me another and asked if it tasted better. I explained that it was not what I ordered. I took the drink back to the bar and let them know it did not taste or have the color of what I ordered. The owner grabbed the drink and threw it in the garbage and said he was sick of this crap. I walked away and went back to join our group. When we asked for the bill the waitress charged me for my drinks. I explained that I took it back. A few minutes later the owner came rushing up and handed me the check and said I gave you credit "dont ever come in my bar again'. That is fine with me. It was karaoke night, I was a little disturbed to see a little child up singing to a bunch of drunks. The waitress apologized for her bosses comments. I would not go to this place if I had a $500.00 credit.
Review Source:This review is really about the whole hotel. The room stunk, the bed frame is broken, we could only get I channel, the door had a problem latching from the outside, the property was unkept... Don't be deceived, this hotel is NOT on a lake. It does have a canal, though. Don't think you will have a refrigerator. Everything that the previous reviewer said about the bar ~ TRUE. They ran out of regular coffee one of the mornings at 7am & the receptionist said under his breath to me, "Coffee drinkers crack me up."
On a good note, we overheard a guy who claimed to be the owners friend that improvements are in the works.
