Don Churro

Stop #1.5 on my museum tour for Sunday, January 13.

Having just visited the National Museum of Mexican Art, I was ready for something to eat.  I just had breakfast 3 hours earlier, so I didn't want a full meal.  Yelp came to the rescue.

This place has very good churros.  While they weren't hot, the churros were fresh and yummy.  I had a chocolate churro, and it held me over until dinner very well.

Delicious churros for $1. It'd be better if they were hot, but really, it's pretty good anyway. The churros were thicker than I'm used to, I guess to handle the optional fillings. The bunuelos looked great too.

A perfect cap to any Pilsen dining experience. These churros are crunchy on the outside, pleasantly soft and chewy on the inside, cost $1, and are often served fresh out of the frier (though not always piping hot, hence the four stars). What more could you ask for?
