Terrific place for Happy Hour. Â If you order a cocktail, you get a small appetizer with it and they have a good variety of choices with that. Â They have a St. Louis style salad which is terrific. Â Pasta here is very good, most of the traditional dishes are available. Â Service is usually very good, nice people serving customers. Â Not a big fan of their beef. Â Ordered their steak with crab meat (market price was $35 the day I ordered it) and was disappointed. Â Crab was bland and the steak wasn't cooked all that well. Â In fairness, I'm kind of picky with steaks. Â
Only real complaint is that the bar could be bigger. Â It gets packed in a hurry and they have a piano which sits in the corner taking up enough space for probably five small tables. Â On the other hand, when they have live music, the piano is the centerpiece, so it's not all bad.
Let me begin by saying the food here is excellent. I would agree with the other review and say this is probably the Italian dining in St. Charles County. However what lacks to be desired is their service at the bar. The bartenders tend to be more interested with each other than their guests. There is also a piano in the bar where local singers will come play. If you go during the weekend and plan on sitting in the bar make sure you bring your earplugs, its not that the music is bad but for as small of an area that it is, the music is deafening loud.
