I've been to a lot of bars. Â A lot. Â And this one, might take the cake as the worst. Â As I walked in, a dog ran up and sniffed at me. Â Not sure who the owner of the dog was, but whoever they were, Â they didn't seem to care about it. Â There were about 10 people hanging around, playing pool & sitting at the bar. Â A random 8 year old hanging around, I thought that was pretty weird for a bar. Â I ordered a Johnny Walker Red, and the bartender started looking around for it. Â I told her I'd take a Dewars or whatever scotch they had around and someone bellowed from the pool table "No Scotch." Â Now I've been to bars that don't have my brand of scotch, but never in my life have I been to one that didn't have any at all. Â So I had a beer, figured I'd just stay for the one then and move on to a bar that had scotch. Â I asked for my bill, and she told me I couldn't pay for my $4 dollar beer with a credit card because it was under their $5 minimum. Â So now I had to overpay for the drink I didn't want. Â So I pass her my AMEX and she informs me they don't accept AMEX. Â There is a sticker on the fridge next to the cash register that says they take AMEX. Â "We should take that off." Â She tells me. Â All that said, the bartender was a sweet heart, she kind of seemed embarrassed about all of it, Â but these are issues that fall on the owners/management. Â It's the kind of place that seems like the owner said to a buddy "Dude, we should open a bar" having no management skills or business acumen. Â On a side note, I did over hear a regular telling the bartender a story about how he "choked a dude out" there on St. Patrick's day. Â This place was pure comedy.
