We just had an amazing late late lunch. We missed the buffet as it ended at 2:30 and we will try and get back here to try it soon. We did have Grape Leaves, Moussaka and the Gyro Platter. All of the dishes were excellent! This would have been 4 stars but then we ordered dessert and the generous baklava bumped it up the last little bit to hit the 5. We will be back!
Review Source:Went back today for a quick lunch, and was really impressed, again, with what a beautiful restaurant Double Apple is! Â We told them we were in a hurry, and we're served really quickly. Â My falafel sandwich was good & not at all dry. Â My mom got the samosa sampler - the pastry was really light & flakey. Â I can't wait to come back to town so I can eat here again
5/1/2013: I don't know why this place isn't packed! Â The food is great, the service friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere is very nice.
Very weird thing that I noticed in their buffet on 2 occasions is that they will put the check/ invoice on your table very early while you are still eating. obviously signaling that they do not want you to sit there and drain their limited resources.
their food quality is variable. but if u want Mediterranean food in this part of the USA, this is all what u will get. I mean this is roanoke not chicago or new york. Â and as they say, 'In the land of the blinds the one-eyed man is king'.
their hummus is always sour, eatable only in limited quantity and so is their other stuff. their buffet is cheap- price-wise, as well as quality and quantity-wise. Â everything here is a 'limited edition'. their buffet table is so small that it is often congested. their lighting arrangement is invisible, literary.
they serve halal food (Muslim meal) but also serve wine, which I find very interesting!
