It's all about the trivia on Wednesday nights. Â If you offend easily, don't come here. Â Also, don't come anywhere near me.
The food is decent. Â The better items on the menu are the fish and chips, the cheese curds, and the buffalo chicken salad. Â Staff is pretty cool. Â And definitely no dress code.
My love, Tim, moved to ROA semi-recently. He's a bigger beer snob than me and he longs for places that he can comfortably sit and watch games in his cut-off. He absolutely loves Flan's. I can genuinely say I've never had a bad time here. The place is flat out chill. The bartenders are cool as hell and they make decent bar eats. Decore is Irish and the scene is comfortable. I've been in there dressed for a club, but I've also been in there in sweats... either way, I've been happy and never felt outta place... really...
Only qualms are:
1) I wish I could see some more Midwestern games though... God only knows how much I love the Brew crew (and the Cubs, shh!), but also all my other ESPN fav's...
2) MORE MORE MORE IRISH TAPPERS for cheap! Guinness is Guinness, yes, and definitely one of my "old faithful's", but gimme some micro brews or something with a little more taste than... ew... wahhhh MIller. Then, again, I'm a beer snob. I can't help it... I'm from Wisco. We love brews!
When you stop in, say, "hey" to Michelle, Tim, and me. :)
Cheers, Flan's! I'll be back!
PS. Check out the books on the walls!!! Some of them are great reads... I promise you, I know!
