Review Source:The old Tattler's is back, more or less. And you will feel haunted by the ghosts of Xmas past....because they never left the building. It may be in transition, but as of January, Â the dart machine was moved to the front, a paper banner was hung over the old Tattler's sign, and the menu was jettisoned, but that's about it.
Same bar, same drinks, same (very reasonable) price point, same juke box, same tv, same furniture. Some new butts on the stools (were there some younger people there?) but by and large, it looks the same. Lend your support by hoisting a few and let's see how else the new owner (a former bartender there) will make it his own. When I was in there last, they were tinkering with food offerings. They were still offering the deep fryer appetizers and had added toaster oven pizzas (the owner was still leaning how it worked with the help of some patient customers). But if you liked Tattler's you will probably not even notice much of a difference. It's still the place to watch the big game (or unwind after your own softball outing) and mingle with the locals. As cheesed off as everyone was when Tattler's abruptly closed Nov. 1, we should make it a habit to give our livers a work out and endure the ice cold toilet seats on a regular basis. It's a small price to pay to have another set of open doors any where near Park Forest proper.
