We are new to the Fort Myers area and hoped to find good Chinese food like we are accustomed to eating in many of the metropolitan areas in which we have lived but we were grossly disappointed. The hot and sour soup was tasty but it was served at a temperature slightly above room temperature. Both the beef chow fun and the spicy chicken were bland even though we asked for them to be spicy - both had similar brown sauce that ressembled gravy more than an oriental sauce. We informed the waitress who brought us red pepper oil which helped make the dishes more flavorful. Also the prices are somewhat high especially for the size of the dishes. In any event we will definitely not be returning for dinner but will consider trying it for dim sum before we write it off totally. Also, I found having 3 televsion screens in the room - one showing a non family friendly show (many expletives in the dialog) was tacky, if not completely out of place - this is a restaurant not a sports bar.
Bottom line - find another place to eat a tasty Chinese meal.
Twice I've rated this restaurant 5 stars due to the quality of its dim sums. About 10 days ago I stopped by returning from Miami. Â This time I'd rate it zero since the woman with the long face refused to seat me because I was alone and refused take-out as well. Â I always tolerate indifferent service in modest restaurants if the food is good. Â And I am never confrontational because that never pays in a restaurant. Â I've always tipped at least 20% rounding up. Â Perhaps the owner was not there and she was simply on a power trip. Â Even though this is the only real dim sum within a 100 mile radius, no more for me and my guests.
