Great sandwiches, quality ingridients, pleasant staff, fast service, of course, great views. Lots of locals eat here too, so you know it's good.

East Ferry Deli you rock! Your sandwiches are beyond compare especially my personal favorite #1. Service is quick, the staff friendly and the roast beef is lean. Whats not to like?

Go here for coffee and pastries only.

East Ferry offers a great location, outdoor seating, and views of the 'gansett.  But it shivers me timbers when a specialty sandwich comes with a side of -- pickles.  Nothing against those devilish little delights, but for $10 I want a stellar sandwich with a side of something (read: potato chips).  We tried #8 (turkey) and #15 (crab salad sandwich) and both were good.  But a simple compliment would have made this better for the price.  I get it, it's a quality ingredient sandwich, but you'll do more business otherwise.

Great outdoor seating area, with a beautiful view of the bay and the Newport bridge; but WAYYY overpriced for a sandwich ($10), and service is slow.

Visiting here in the dead of winter is probably a very different experience than high summer season.
    Still,

    Service was fast and friendly.
The scones and muffins were first- rate. The varieties were so good I tried almost every one. Each one was fresh, perfectly baked, and delicious. Their coffee was also fresh brewed and yummiriffic.

Also tried the clam chowder. Good rich flavor, lots of goodies in there.

It would really be great if they made a Rocky Point style chowder.

I've only been here once, but I highly recommend it.

We have eaten lunch a few times over the last few years. Te service is great The food is delicious and well prepared. The Deli is located across from the harbor and the view is beautiful. Nice place to stop for lunch if you are traveling to or from Newport as well.. Really like this place!

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Possible Food Poisoning Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A group of friends and I spent last weekend on a trip through CT and RI.  We all ate the same meals over the 3 day trip, except when we had lunch on Saturday at the East Ferry Market & Deli.  One friend ordered the Crab Salad Sandwich but without the bread, and the dish came out with crab salad on a bed of romaine.  The rest of the group ordered sandwiches which were quite good.
The guy who ordered the crab sandwich became violentely ill about two hours after he consumed the crab salad.  He didn't touch the romaine, he's a bit of a picky eater.
His symptoms included vomiting, watery diarrhea, abdominal pain, stomach cramps, fever, and fatigue.

While obviously it is hard to definitively point to the crab salad as the cause of this, it is very likely.  We had all eaten the same meals prior to this lunch and he is the only one that got sick after eating the crab salad.

Great view, location, value, and the sandwiches were tasty, but I would like to know if they are strictly following the HACCP approach to food safety.

The East Ferry Deli was our introduction to Jamestown.  We arrived in town last Saturday morning and headed straight to downtown Jamestown to see what there was for lunch options.  The East Ferry Deli immediately caught our eye, as it overlooked the beautiful harbor and bridge.  They offer about 20 specialty sandwich options, as well as much more.  I opted for the #14 (you order by number), which was the hot pastrami sandwich with melted Swiss cheese, red onion and Dijon mustard on rye.  It was delicious, moist, and warm.  There are also salads, soups, and (cheap!) breakfast sandwiches, although all of their prices are very affordable, especially considering the deli's location and views.

Seating is a bit limited, but we were fortunate enough to get a table next to the window, which overlooked the outdoor patio, which overlooked the harbor/marina.  It was a great, relaxing, and scenic first lunch in town.

A world class water view of the Jamestown harbor and Newport bridge with tables inside and out along with a great assortment of sandwiches, salads and pastries make this a definite will go again spot.

I hate to use the phrase 'tourist trap' but...

In the summer, this place is packed to the rafters.  In the off-season, not so much (seems most go to Slice of Heaven).  Coffee is passable.  Pastries are all store-bought.  Breakfast sandwiches are made assembly-line style (store bought egg disks, no fresh eggs).

The one thing I will give them a high mark for is the lunch sandwich menu - try the Thanksgiving sandwich.  Lots of other good ones, too.

Location, location, location. You can get sandwiches, coffee, and all types of tasty, butt enlarging treats. Then you take them outside and eat on the patio that overlooks east passage Narragansett Bay. You can see Newport, the Pell Bridge, sailboats and freighters go by. The food is actually what you would expect from this type of place. The 5 stars are for the location and the view.

A strong wind off the water blew me towards the East Ferry Market and Deli.

Busy place with a pleasant atmosphere.

I had the Hot Corned Beef Sandwich on Rye $6.95, it had thin sliced fresh red onions, sauerkraut and honey mustard on it. The mustard made it really tasty. They were a little skimpy on the meat but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the sandwich.

The 8 oz. Clam Chowder  in a styrofoam bowl was pretty good but expensive at $3.50.

They just have canned and bottled drinks no fountain.

Wooden seats were comfortable enough and the view from the front deck from the plastic chairs toward the marina is pleasing.

They had lots of good looking premade calzones, cookies, pastries and muffins in the display case.

    ---

I went again for breakfast, I had a sausage, egg and cheese cheddar bagel $3.50 which was good and a Cream Cheese cinnamon roll $2.50 which was very good because of the yummy icing( I wish the whole thing had icing all over it, GIMME MORE!). Make sure they heat up the roll for you.

According to their website they'll give you a free coffee if you give them your email, I didn't try it, maybe you'll have the guts.
