El Sloppy Tacos

Looks dumpy on the outside but inside has a nice vibe to it. Had the chicken enchiladas, wife had the veggie burrito. We weren't impressed at all with the food. The portions were big and the prices were good, but the food quality was a little below average. Also, they don't seem to serve alcohol but have a BYOB thing going on, so if you're thinking of having a margarita with your Mexican meal, well....

Also, it's one of those places where you pay for your meal when you order it, but you still have waitress/table service. So that makes it awkward if you want to leave a tip before you leave, yet you already paid for your meal with a credit card. Not the end of the world, just kinda awkward.

I like the vibe on the inside and they have a good, central location, just wasn't a fan of the food. I'm willing to give some other menu options a chance there, but it won't be a the top of my list. But you should try it, maybe you will have a different experience.

I must have hit this place on a bad day considering some of the other reviews.  My food was just average.  I was really hoping for better. I will give it another chance since I found the staff friendly and my friend's choice of meat was a better option. I choose the Tinga Poblana as others recommended that here.  I actually enjoyed the pork ones my friend had much more.

I may update or add another review once I try it again.  But it wasn't as good as I had hoped.

We've been wondering about this place for a while and we're glad we checked it out, but we were pretty disappointed. There is nothing wrong with a "hole in the wall" kind of place, but the best ones are where the food takes you by surprise in a good way. This was not that place.

I'm not that great of a cook, but I liked my homemade enchiladas much better...so that says something. A can of soda is $1.50 but you can BYOB - I would definitely do that to save money if we ever go back. The enchiladas were ok. The rice was just plain white rice. The beans were not refried but instead, swimming in water at room temperature.  Chips and queso were decent.  Random suggestion - get rid of the stained placemats. They hurt more than they help!
