Electric Cowboy

This bar/club is by far one of the worst places I have been. The drinks are pricey and small. There is a cover charge to get into the bar whether you are drinking or the designated driver. On Thursdays, cover is $5 per male, free for ladies. Drinks are $.75 until 11pm. I thought I would give it a shot... Even though there are 4 different bars in the building, you are waiting on average 5 minutes in line to get a drink. There are not waiters/waitresses, just "shot girls", coming around trying to sell you half shots out of test tubes or syringes. The Electric Cowboy takes a used car sales approach to pushing off their shots. The restrooms reek of vomit and urine.

The customers are a mix of confused cowboy/hip hop dancers/local drug dealers wrapped into one. It is, however, entertaining to watch these individuals line dance to hip hop songs. So, ladies, if you enjoy free cover, cheap drinks, cheaper men, and covet a roofie-colada... or, if you are just searching for a night of low standards and bad decisions, then by all means, check your dignity at the door and enjoy the ride!

If you want to mingle and talk with friends this is the place to go, but if you want to dance, go somewhere else!

I've only been once. Drinks seemed to be the going price. I noticed that the music goes in cycles: slow songs, country songs, R&B songs. They play around 2-4 of each and then they switch. I didn't like the bright white lights focused on the dance floor, as it's blinding when they flash them. The dance floor could stand to be bigger, as it's hard to do a line dance where everyone is crammed on there, especially when you have drunk girls who are falling all over the place.

There was a pretty massive fight that occurred, so it's no wonder there's a few police cars sitting outside. The employees are nice, from the bouncers to the cashiers. The ladies bringing shots around are good looking, friendly, and not pushy about buying shots. I don't know if I'll be back... maybe for a friend's birthday or something. I'd rather go to the Grizzly Rose.
