Extensive menu and you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner at any time. I was in the mood for breakfast, so had one of their skillets (Corned beef hash) with a side of pancakes. The hash could have been crispier (but I forgot to ask for it that way, so really can't fault them for it). The pancakes tasted excellent. The service was great. Will definitely be back.
Review Source:This place is a really good place to grab something to eat that will fill you up, taste good, and not completely empty your wallet!
The staff was really friendly ans so was our server. She did seem to have a little lapse from time to time but nothing to really complain about. This restaurant must either be fairly new or just kept up impeccably.
I had a Malibu chicken sandwich. It was chicken, Swiss cheese and ham on a roll. It was very tasty but it was VERY close to being overcooked. They saved it! The potato soup was very good also. I was able to sample some of my wife's baked apple pancake and it was VERY good. It was definitely one of the better ones that I have tried.
We had a great dinner here. It always pleases us to find a place like this. Since we are out in NW Indiana quite often, I am sure we will be back!
When the Red Apple moved...and became the Golden Apple...but the Red Apple was still there...but it wasn't the same Red Apple....I was worried. No reason to be as it turned out. The Golden Apple is just a bigger location with the same great menu, cooks, wait staff, etc. Still my favorite breakfast place in NWI. And now open for dinner too! Be prepared to wait in the mornings as its very popular (which is a good thing, no?).
Review Source:When asked if Eli's is elite, I would absolutely say yes. The menu is huge and the food was super. All day breakfast, eggs were cooked perfectly and they were on the ball with coffee refills.
The one thing that was kind of weird was that they had mini tv's at the table that only  showed Rachel Ray.  We know because we tried to switch the channel to ESPN, since it was the day after the Super Bowl but after a while even Rachel grew on us. And we learnt how to make blinds with a 2 by 4 and burlap sack. Overall it was a great breakfast!
Eli's Golden Apple is a restaurant and pancake house that has an extensive menu. Â I had a very good breakfast this morning consisting of my usual French toast, eggs and bacon. Â The waitress was very friendly and really seemed to cheer everyone up in our section. Â The restaurant was crowded for breakfast, usually a good sign. Â My breakfast companion had a skillet breakfast with pancakes that was very good.
They do have lunch and dinner also. Â I'll have to go back to try out one of those sometime soon. Â
My breakfast was a little over $7. Â I didn't think it was too bad but would have liked some hashbrowns included for the price.
