I'm embarrassed to say I set foot in this dump, but alas, some nights you just wind up next door to BT's in south Miami. Â I'm currently sitting on a couch outside and wondering if I should just burn my clothes after from the likelihood that they are now crawling in stripper bed bugs from next door. Did I mention the service yet? There are more waiters here than patrons yet it took them nearly 20 min to get my beer and hookah. Ok, gotta go, arm is itching and I'm thinking its a flee of some sort from this couch I'm sitting on.
Review Source:Close vicinity to our daughter's apartment and we have ordered from here for delivery at least three times. I almost feel like this place is a great little secret gem. Â They have a small menu consisting of salads, sandwiches a few apps, pasta and pizza. Their lunch specials look really nice.
We were going to catch a movie and decided to swing by for a quick pie. The entrance is in the back with plenty tables outside and oh I had no idea it is also a hookah bar. Â They had a ton of hookahs and the smell was mesmerizing. Â We decided to eat inside since there was a slight chill in the air. Our server was nice, greeted us right away. The inside has couches, a bar, and a staircase which takes you to the restroom.
We started with some hummus which was very good and they give you a ton of thicker cut pita bread, for $5, great value. Â Next we ordered a pie thick crust, mushrooms and Italian Sausage. Â My daughter and I really like their pizza because of the thicker crust since I am a carbolic, ingredients are fresh and plentiful, good sauce and cheese. In this area IMO this is the next pie you can get.
Really 3.5 stars for me cause I will continue to order for delivery, great pie's, and so very reasonable. They were getting many delivery's this particular night but not many people dining which concerned me on a Saturday night. Please stick around I really love your pizza.
The first time i ordered from this place was when they first opened and they brought menu/coupons to my job. I had the chicken parm n it was good for the price. So we ordered again but the food was inconsistent, delivery is always late, and the owner is very rude. I've ordered from from this place a few times and it's always something. The delivery takes a while so the sandwiches are soggy n cold, and dont even try to complain because the owner has a nasty attitude. Today I ordered a sandwich with no mushroom because I am allergic. The sandwich came about an hour later cold n soggy but I was not going to complain until i found mushroom. I called to let the owner know n he called me a liar n told me never to call back... What??? Great customer service skill....No problem.... He is his own worst enemy and will drive this place into the ground... Do I have to rate with a whole star??? They deserve half..
Review Source:I've officially had the worst food in Miami. Â $30 for bread sticks, salad, BLT w fries, and a tres leches cake! Â 1.5 hours delivery. Â Had to meet him by his car to get my food, 20 ft. away from my front door. Â
Cold cheese sticks.  House Salad that was served w Rancid Ranch dressing both of which were warmer than the cheese sticks. The BLT was served with 6 slices of SERIOUSLY STALE bread w no mayo, 1 slice of tomato, and 3 slices of  bacon cooked for breakfast that day. They FORGOT the fries and when I called the manager said he wouldn't refund my money or deliver the fries.  He went on to inform me that he was doing me a favor delivering to me...?!!! I live less than 1.5 miles away...  Tres leches cake was warm as well.  11/4 5:45 PM.
We ordered through living social and had it delivered so I can't comment on the place itself or the service. However we need did order an eclectic sampling of the offerings. First I had the minestrone soup, it was good and thick, more like a stew. I also had the falafel which was excellent, one if the best I've had outside of the Middle East.
My wife had chicken soup which she said was ok, not bad but nothing made it great. She also had fettuccine Alfredo and said it was amazing.
My son had the cheeseburger and he didn't like it. It was a little dry and the seasoning was strange but ill give them a break on the dryness because it was delivery and it was his fault he had to have a burger. My daughter had the pizza and it was basically Papa John's but a little better. We all liked it but I wouldn't call this place a pizzeria.
The Italian and the Middle Eastern food was great, they should really focus more on that than the pizza.
Bye-bye Origin, Hello Empire Lounge.
Walking to Sunset Place, like I often do, I was stopped by an employee passing out flyers advertising the newly opened Empire Pizza & lounge, so I was about to throw it away with the other karate ad I was given, and noticed the tantalizing coupons with deals like $3.99 burgers, $5.99 subs, and a $5.99 small, one topping pizza! That's almost Little Caesar standards.
I'd definitely come back here again after finding out they plan on staying open until 4am (not sure if that idea will last though) and I look forward to seeing how they decorate the large space that Origin always had trouble filling. I really enjoyed their garlic rolls, which were the perfect texture and amount of garlic. Sometimes garlic rolls are just done so wrong, but not here. So if garlic rolls are a testament to pizza, hopefully they'll pass. I'll find out soon enough, now that I know they deliver to the surrounding area as well. Being so reasonably priced might help them be my new favorite take-out place.
