Fox's Sherron Inn

I have been a customer of Fox's since 1966 when I was a student at the U of M.  Betty Fox was the owner then.  George Andrews bought it in 1969.  He kept everything the same.  People loved the place.  Great drinks and good food!  Unfortunately, the new owners have ruined the place.  The service is awful along with the food. I will not return.  Noting lasts forever.

Fox's has been one of the greatest dives Miami ever had. The jukebox was amazing. Magical, even. The wait staff personable and always remembered the regulars, who were legion. Alas, the old girl got a face lift, and then new owners. My favorite waiter was fired. The menu was changed, with the old-school liquor lounge standards updated to include appetizers like chips and salsa and cinnamon chicken wings and the ubiquitous spinach and artichoke dip. Tonight, the bar service was beyond bad: two of my party had their entree orders taken and the food delivered before my husband's appetizer came out of the kitchen. My tuna melt was cold, the rye bread not even beige. The grill was greasy, and the whole place smelled like a teenage boy's locker room. Alas, I mourn for Fox's, it is no more.
