Miller's Ale House Restaurants

Went on Christmas night when we found ourselves in Miami and with nothing else open. Great find thanks tp the awesome atmosphere for the Heat game. The line was very long but the staff was diligent and although the crowd was heavy for 3 + hours , service never failed.

Food was ok, portions were huge though and the price was decent. Kid's menu was an excellent value.

If you are looking for a casual sports bard and "american" area in Coral Gables, this is the place.

Went on a Friday with a group of 16+ to long for Drinks ,very slow on Appetizers , But Food was  good .
Service could've been better and drinks were weak .

It was July 4th and my boyfriend and I decided to spend it in the Gables. Before We were ready to hit some fireworks, we wanted to have an all american dinner, therefore we hit Miller's Ale House. My boyfriend always goes to the one in his area Palmetto Bay so we decided to hit this place.

Service was prompt as we were escorted to our booth. After a few minutes of perusing our menu our waiter Mario was ready to take our order. I ordered a raspberry iced tea while my boyfriend ordered water. Wow, they came in a big gulp glass.

We immediately ordered our entrees skipping any appetizers as we were a bit rushed to get to our destination. I ordered the Miller Steak Sandwich consisting of steak, grilled onions, mozzarella cheese, in a sour dough bun. It came with fries and a pickle but I opted out of the pickle. My boyfriend ordered the The Big Red which was a  lightly fried boneless chicken breast smothered with hot Sauce & topped with melted jack & cheddar Cheeses. Served with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle & Fries. My boyfriend opted out of the hot sauce.

OK . I took about 10 minutes for our dinner to arrive which is not that bad. When I got served the sandwich, it looked like there was not much meat in it. As I was about to signal my waiter, I decided to close the sandwich as it was served open faced and there was the meat on the other side of the bun. I had to even it out on the bread. The meat did not spread throughout the bread as I had to tear chunks out  to get to the meat.

My boyfriend's Big Red was awesome but when he got the sandwich there was no cheese in it which he did not order it that way. After 5 minutes of trying to signal our waiter, he explained to him what happened. Our waiter apologize as there was some miscommunication in the kitchen since he placed the sandwich as plain and that is why the cook took out the cheese as well.

After 6 minutes, a new sandwich came out and my boyfriend was satisfied. I envied his sandwich. His cheese was melting and the chicken was crispy. OMG! I told him that I was getting that with the hot sauce the next time we are back.

We had a good experience this time it wasn't that great but hopefully next time would be better.
