John Martin's Irish Pub & Restaurant

We went on St Pattie's Day--so yeah, we could have picked a better day.  My darling friend, Rendy-poo says their steaks are divine and we should try it again.  Also the buffalo burger.  We'll see if we ever make it there again.

We were seated right away (by a fluke, I'm sure) and seated in a room that looked and felt like the conference room in a hotel.  Kids were playing on the floor--almost no one could get a refill on spirits without running someone down.  Unfortunately the food matched.

Apparently, if you go on any other day of the year--it's great.  So, I suggest that if you go--you go then.

And try a steak?

I only come here because I do like the crowd that comes here and the live music on Sundays. But yeah the food is ok, and drinks are way over priced. The staff is friendly...ahhh is ok I guess.....

I have a bone to pick with this place. I came here on St. Patrick's Sunday to have a couple of pints before heading out to dinner. No, I didn't eat here because on the short time I was here, the stuff I saw passed around should not be called Irish food. My bone to pick is about the beer. This is supposed to be and Irish pub and as any Irish pub, serve Guinness. But if you going to serve Guinness, do it right. I have no doubt that in order for them to dispense large amounts of Guinness in a short period they have to water it down. The beer itself tastes water down. And I have seen true Guinness being poured, even at the Guinness brewery in Dublin. Pouring this black gold liquid is an art and it takes time. The beer itself, when in its natural state, does not allow you to pour quickly, you have to pour, seat, and then pour. Look it up. Guinness should be notify of the atrocity you are serving.
