What can be said except that you must experience this place yourself??? One of my girlfriends and I decided to indulge in a leisurely lunch and hit this place up. We love the tapas type of vibe and were so pleased to have found this place so close by! The quality of the food is superb and the attention is unparalleled. Our host was so very gracious and even gave us several tips and pointers for our next trip to Marbella!

We opted not to have their 13.95 lunch special which sounded great (appetizer and main course along with dessert) and instead decided to have several tapas. These were their Manchego and Jamon Serrano tabla, which came with a drizzle of olive oil and was extremely fresh; the cod fish 'croquettes' were full of cod and not just flour and breadcrumbs; the chistorras a la cidra had a smokey after taste that was just right; and the staple of the Spanish tapa, the 'tortilla' was served warm with a side of alioli and carmelized balsamic vinegar. It was amazing. This place is going on my 'regular' list! I highly recommend it to anyone in search of an authentic feel!

Called and made reservations for 12...I specifically stated that we wanted a table near the Guitarist and Flamenco dancer where we would have a good view....I was told that it would be no problem...When we arrived our table was the farthest from the stage and we could not see anything...I was ready to walk out when the hostess (with an attitude!) told me she could not do better....I did not leave because it was my GF's sisters birthday and did not want to ruin it for her....Now the food - Nothing spectacular!....There are MANY places in Miami that serve better Tapas....One of our guest ordered the $50 dollar steak and it was dry and tasteless.....Service so so....NEVER going back! If you want some authentic tapas and great service try "Las Tapas de Rosa" or "Los Gallegos"

Oh my... where do I begin?

A friend and I were supposed to meet for a late lunch at Bread & Butter at 3 p.m., but upon arriving found out that they close from 3 - 6 to set up for dinner service.

Although frustrated at first, this apparent misfortune ended up being a blessing in disguise, for we wound up at La Taberna Giralda.

I'll start with the impeccable service. We were attended to as if we were the only people in the restaurant, with consistent refills of our water and replacement of napkins and silverware, as well as the removal of empty plates. Superb service.

Now the food. Holy cow. It's been a while since a Miami restaurant has blown me away, but wow! From our appetizers, tortilla espanola and calamari fritto, which were both excellent, to our desserts, a cream filled crepe drizzled with chocolate and one with caramel, our meal was perfect from start to finish.

The beef tenderloin and grilled sea bass deserve special mention as they almost caused a fork fight between me and my dining companion. The fish was savory and cooked perfectly and the beef was tender and nestled in a sauce so good I could probably eat a bowl of it with a piece of baguette.

A nice surprise was Karen, the owner (along with her mom and pops), who stopped by our table and shared the story of how the restaurant came about,.

La Taberna has been around for 8 months under its present ownership and I hope it stays around for 8 million more.
