Moe's

Went in for lunch and a dead palmetto bug fell out of the kids crayon pack. The kids menus and crayons were stored right next to an open door, and i know its the tropics, but...couldn't eat after that. Drank my free Diet Coke and got the hell out. Bathrooms weren't exactly spotless and place was empty at lunch on a Sunday. Yikes. Only saving grace was friendly staff.

I went for the first time yesterday and it was PACKED. You could barely get through the crowd. They had $1 drinks for ladies until 1 a.m. so that was awesome! They had music blaring and people dancing all night. The ladies bathroom is too small though; I have to wait in line for almost 10 minutes! Also, due to the amount of people there, its so easy to be pick-pocketed. My friend got her phone stolen while we were there and I've heard this happens quite often. It's a cool place to hang out, but be careful with your belongings!

Came here to meet some friends one evening to hang out. For $20 you can get bracelets that let you keep drinking all night. It was pretty dead looking outside for a while, but the DJ inside was pretty good and gave everything a fun vibe inside. I didn't have a chance to eat anything here but I was told that the food is really good and the fries were delicious from the people we went with. The drinks we had were good too!

The motif is very ski lodge, which is slightly ironic seeing things that remind me of home in a bar in Coconut Grove. I recognized a lot of the bouncers as UM football players too lol.

The average age inside the bar is what mildly put me off though. Everyone looked like they were either mid to late 30's or 14 with fake ID's. It's not a place I would go to have a drink and chill but if you are with a decent group of people then it's a fun time!
