I've never had a meal here. I've never watched a game, either. I can't even pronounce half the things on the menu. I just come here for the boots!

This place gets two stars because of an incident that occurred last year. A friend was drinking from her boot, and it suddenly cracked inside of her mouth. Fritz & Franz had the audacity to charge her over $60 for it, when it was genuinely not her fault. I don't know why she paid that obscene fee, they should have paid her bar tab instead. It's not like she was chewing on her boot, or throwing it around; it cracked as she was sipping her beer! She could have swallowed glass. I'm sorry, but if the glassware I'm drinking from your establishment breaks inside my mouth, I don't think I should be penalized.

The names of items on the menu are ridiculous to pronounce without spitting on someone. The service has gotten way better in the last few months.
The happy hour is a little too short, in my opinion.
    Used to be 4-7, now it's 5-7.
Times are hard, you know what would be GREAT for business?
Give people deals, bribe them to come in!
To management, I'd recommend music that doesn't make me feel like my ears are bleeding and a happy hour from 5-8:30. By all means, play German music - but play GOOD German music.

To other customers and Yelpers, the more comfy chairs are inside. Apparently that whole ass-numbing picnic bench thing is suuuuuper German, so maybe bring a pillow for your backside. On draft, the Koenig wheat beer is great. In the bottle, the gaffel is the lightest in flavor they have. The Kostrizer is also good. If you want something strong, the Celebrator, Optimator, or Salvator dopplebecks are awesome. The Tucher hefe is a great malt liquor too. If you don't like beer, the grüner vetliner and the Riesling are amaze-balls. Or even apple schnapps with apple juice - tres sweet, but great if you're a girly drinker.
Food wise: the kaesespatzle, jaeger schnitzel, Berner wurstl, or sausage sampler are all great staples. Pretzel with the afore-complained about in another review - cheese, is great. The sausage sampler is also a great sharing plate. The Apfel strudel WITH ICE CREAM is awesome. Without ice cream though, the orange sauce is too tart and it kills the dish.

To anyone below me with a bad F&F taste in their mouths from the last few years, I strongly recommend giving them another try.

Also, to save money, check in on foursquare app for an extra 10% off your bill. But don't bother trying to oust me as Mayor. Ain't gonna happen, Cap'n!

Love the schnitzel with potato salad....the apple strudel was amazing. Service is friendly and happy and traditional German ambiance.  The prices on weekends (Fri-Sun) increase dramatically.  But the strudel alone is worth going back.
