I've had worse, but I don't remember when...
Menu looks tantalizing but the dishes are very plain. 4 star atmosphere and service but just bad food, everything I tried. Bummer, too, cause there were 2 other Tapas restaurants within a few blocks and this one was expensive! I always finish my plates but I was happy to not take any of my 3 leftover portions to go... ick.
I will start off this review by using a phrase that I have heard throughout the Yelp universe: "I wanted to like this place better than I did."
I came here today for their $10 lunch buffet (around $13 if you include tax and a 12% tip), and the food here was okay. However, it was not memorable.
- Potatoes: I loved them because they were crunchy (A+)
- Bread: It was soft but tasted store bought (A)
But as you went down the line, you saw these miniature crock pots that contained vegetables or meat with some type of sauce or broth that served as the highlight of the buffet line. I only got food from four crock pots out of ten because I was not exactly sure what was in the pots, Â but the highlight of the line had to be the beef meatballs. Big and meaty!
At the end of the line were salad fixings and cold-cuts of meat. I am not a fan of cold meat, so I naturally wasn't a fan of what was at the end.
I know I shouldn't expect much from a $10 buffet, but I expected so much more and got so much less. I would recommend going for the potatoes though, but if you are a meat lover, you will not find much here.
Also, it took the waiter about 10 minutes after dining to ask what I wanted to drink. I am not sure if they were intimidated, but I think drink orders should be taken no less than three minutes after you sit down.
It was okay, overall. I am not sure if I would come here again.
So, I decided to take my family and out of town guest to this place for my birthday celebration. We were so excited to see Flamenco Dancing and have Spanish food. Since my family is from Spain, we were looking forward to the experience. We had a reservation for a large party and have a set menu, therefore there was no guess work in what would be served. We were told to be there at 7:00PM and that we had to have dinner completed by 10:00PM because that have a second show at 10PM. So, we got there at 7:00PM and there were no tapas on the table. It took over 30 minutes to get sangria on the table and 45 minutes to get our tapas. The show started at 8:30 and the main course had yet to be delivered to our table. The show was great and it kept our minds off of the lack of food on the table. When our food finally showed up at 9:45PM (keep in mind we are supposed to be done at 10PM). Â Not only did it come out 15minutes before we were supposed to leave, but it was luke warm. Totally disappointed, my birthday dinner was pretty much a disaster, and they wanted us to pay for our meal. We ended up paying for the tapas, wine, and sangria we ordered. Not going back, EVER!
