Encore 2 Bar & Bistro

You no have drive half hour to have fun night, fun in your back yard. Altanta best kept secret is located old norcross road in Lawrenceville. Both time I go to Encore 2 I had tremendous time dancing, dancing, and not by myself but with a lot of beautiful grown ladies. The setting of place is very open hardwood dance floor with top dj spinning your farovirite 1 and 2, old school and new. Very big hi-definition TV too. Best part I like is the crowd is grown and sexy no teenagers acting fool. The drinks are reasonable pricing. Cover charge a little high but consider that you saving gas and time driving. Crowed on weekends, but 3 to 1 ratio ladies so that mean no lose, lose situation. But go early and no cover charge and remember to dress to impress the ladies. One last reminder, they open thru, fri, sat only so don't try go dancing on a monday or you go dancing yourself.

I went to Encore 2 after work with co-workers, and I had a great time.  I went out with a couple of fun-loving ladies, but Encore 2 did its part to make the evening a success. The music was excellent - great dance R&B with some reggae thrown in here and there.  I LOVED IT.  I was able to dance with a lovely gentlemen who helped me learn the ease of Chicago-style step dancing (those who know...know what I'm talking about).  I love to dance and I danced in my seat and on the dance floor.  

They had a nice menu, with the usual suspects and a few surprises.  One of my friends ordered the calamari, which is NOT frozen, but bought fresh and sliced by the chef.  My other friend and I had lemon pepper wings which were simply delicious.  Thankfully we arrived early enough that only a few people saw me licking my fingers.  

They also have drink specials during happy hour from 4-8.  My friends and I got a round of the fruit margaritas which we all agreed were a little too sweet.  But we also had shots - $5 Grey Goose and $5 Patron.  Those two liquors always go down smooth.  We also had some very smooth-tasting Long Island Ice Teas.  Who knew a drink with so much alcohol could taste so good???!!!  As I was not driving, I could indulge and I did.  

The space itself is in a strip mall, but since this is in Lawrenceville, I wasn't too surprised because isn't everything in a strip mall in Lawrenceville?  But the inside is lovely and beautifully done.  The pictures on the website are a good, though better-lit, representation.  We sat at a high top table in front of the dance floor and were completely comfortable.  The bathroom was clean and spacious - yay!

Service was good, but hectic.  As it got busier, our server had less time to stop by so we had to chase her down at bit at the end of the evening, but she was great to us before the late night crowd arrived.  

Overall, we had a great time, and although I am an ITP lover, this place might see me a few more times.
