This place is a solid 4.5. Been here more times than I count for both lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is always cozy, quaint and kind of fun.
* The service. Staff has always been solid. From the host(s) to the server(s), I've yet to experience anything negative. Attentive, friendly and knowledgable of their menu.
* The food. The beer cheddar fondue and pita chips are easily the best appetizer I've ever had at any restaurant. The sharp cheddar balances well with a lingering hint of beer. The pork belly slice, crab cakes and fried tomatoes are all wonderful ways to start any meal as well. The duck confit pasta and shrimp and grits, as delicious as they are, definitely sit heavy in the stomach. I've found the lamb t-bones and salmon to be my go to dishes.
TL;DR- Great food, more importantly, it's consistent. A great dining experience next to home. Quality-wise, unparalleled anywhere in Duluth.
