Food is decent, service is all right, beer is near cold enough...Out of the way place that worth it, especially if you want to watch sports.  The place is clean and appears to have been recently reconditioned.

Don't let the fact this is a sports bar stop you from having lunch or dinner here. I enjoyed my burger very much.

I wish our experience had been different.  We went in to watch a Giants game.  We sat at the bar and ordered our drinks, not realizing we were seated next to an off duty bartendter who had already gone over his limit.  He was loud and interrupted our conversation to ask whether his seatmate looked like he was from Texas and over 19.  Like I care?  A table opened and we moved.  Took forever to get our patty melts, and we agreed they were mediocre at best.  The crowd was rough and loud and the juke box was louder.  This isn't a sports bar, it's a juke box bar that attracts a hip-hop crowd.  We'll spend our money elsewhere.  This place has lots of potential, but it is not for me.  Disappointed.  If you are after calories and beer, this will do.  If you want to watch a game and eat a decent meal then you need to head on down the road.

I like checking out new sports bars because I hope to open one of my own some day. I was recently in Chico and had the opportunity to try the End Zone out. We waited for 5 minutes before a waitress finally told us to find our own table and then when we did sit down it took another 10 minutes before anyone brought us menus and to take our drink order. It was not very busy either. I would say there was around 20 people total in the whole place. When we finally got to place our order we had already been there close to 25 minutes (luckily we were there to watch the Sunday night football game).

We started off by ordering some wings as an appetizer which were pretty good even though we got them right before we got our burgers. I ordered the Wyatt Earp burger, which has bacon, cheese, onion rings, and BBQ sauce. The flavor was pretty good but the size of the burger was a joke (compared to the price you pay), and it came with a very very small amount of fries. I also ordered a margarita and this is no joke, it took 20 minutes for me to get my drink. I watched our waitress and the bartender poor beer, and make several other drinks for customers who came in after us.

If you looking to just watch a sporting event I would say this is a good place, but if you're looking for good food, good service, and decent prices then THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE!

Ok, I said I like Chico, but Chico is also a weird place.  There are so many people who will do anything to hang on here in perpetuity.  Unlike other college towns, those who hang on are not granolas.  They are the 40-something versions of people you would expect to find in fraternities and sororities, they all seem to work in sales, small local businesses, or financial services/admin. in financial services, and they all end up here to grab a brew with their friends ... or chase skirt, or be a skirt that's chased.  Sorry.  That's the vibe here.

The food is typical sports bar chicken sandwich or burger with mushrooms and avocado fare.  How can the cook mess that up?  It's not likely.  Hence, it's edible and filling.  As for the brew, I'll skip on that, and keep the tab within bounds.  The service staff is either the younger or similar-aged version of the very patronage it serves.

How did I find them?  Can you spell "airline points?"  Restaurants come and go from such programs, so I don't know if they are still participating.  Since they are not exceptional, that would dictate whether or not I would return.  For others, it would probably depend on whether they are a dude ... or a dudette.

Edit:  I just looked at the website I use.  Every single place in Chico that was tied to the airline point dining program is no longer in it.

Great burgers!  The atmosphere is very friendly and the decor is warm and inviting.
The bar is elegantly designed, with a nice selection of craft beers and ales on tap. It  is a full bar and the bartenders are fine mixologist. Its a great place to meet friends after work or to watch a ball game.  It is adjacent to the old rail road bed bike path.
Like all establishments its going to have an off night once in awhile.  I love this place.

I am 0 for 2 with this place since the ownership change. The service is absolutely terrible. This is not because the waitresses are terrible, but they are understaffed. The manager doesn't work hard enough. There is no sign when you walk in letting you know to seat yourself, so we just stood there like idiots and then were told "It's seat yourself around here." I ordered a burger with bacon and avocado. I asked for everything on it, and got no condiments. The burger was over-cooked and the bacon was hard as roofing tile. We had to ask for condiments, napkins, silverware, and the organization of service was very poor. I ordered two Bloody Mary's. The first one was delicious. The 2nd one was completely different and tasted terrible. If it weren't for our hard-working waitress, the experience would have been a complete disaster. Someone should call Bar Rescue or Gordon Ramsay to save this place. I remember back when it was a truly amazing establishment. Those days appear to be long gone.

The new owner is a joke! Service is not good and overall they make paying customers feel at fault.  The food is just so-so,  drinks are a given. Me and my friends are avoiding this establishment forever after a night of overall bad service!! I would recommend any other sports bar.

Terrible service and terrible food. The only saving grace was that after waiting 30 minutes for my drink it was a strong pour.  The waitress could care less and almost appeared to be incovieneced by our requests for things like condiments or silverware. My hamburger was a frozen party that was burned to a crisp. Pass and go to The Bear or Burgers and Brews.

This is a local's sports bar.  Their food is decent, I have had their wings and their burger...I prefer their burgers.   The inside is nicer than the exterior indicates.  The service is very good as well.   I would give it one more star if it had more TVs.  I love college football and want more games to watch.  I am also a big beer guy and would love to see a bigger beer selection.  What they have on tap is good but need more of it.  I will be back and recommend this  bar for a big game.

I visited the End Zone recently, just after the remodel - it's a whole new place. The interior gleams with gorgeous wood, and the spiffed-up patio is great for enjoying drinks in the spring weather.

Plus - they now have what is easily one of the best fish tacos in Northern California.

I'm diggin' what the new owners are cookin'. Keep it up guys.

This is a good place to watch a sporting event. The beer prices are fair and the food is decent. The waitstaff is friendly and there are plenty of TV's.

we come for drinks and food at least twice a week - that says something. We love the owners, the bartenders and the rest of the staff. It's nice to have a sports bar / restaurant like this in the North part of town. Plus they have a patio! All the food is fantastic.... and bunch is the best in town!

Went here to watch some playoff baseball yesterday afternoon. First off sports we're on the TV which was a plus. Having to listen to people talk while the TV remained silent was a minus. This is playoff baseball not some meaningless game between the pirates and the astros. Then came the food. For one NEVER order the nachos. 6 bucks for chips, cheese and a small thing of jalapeños. It was a complete waste of money. However the prime rib sandwich special was decent. For the record I shoulda waited it out at Bella's.
