Had tapas and drinks here before doing the gallery hop on Friday. It was ok. Ordered stuffed portobello mushrooms with shrimp. I got some sort of dish with mushrooms floating in a white cream sauce with a couple of shrimp. Â In what world is that "stuffed" mushrooms. It was tasty, just not what I expected. We had 8 or so in our party and most said dishes were good, a couple had quesadillas and they used "really good" to describe that dish. Up side.. they had 2 for 1 margaritas.
Review Source:OK, so Entourage...an odd duck to say the least...
Well if you're there early in the evening for dinner it pretty much sucks. It is the WORST tapas place I've ever been to. Not that the food is terrible, just the menu selection and creativity or care about what is on the menu is terribly lacking. It is pathetically generic and could be considered an insult to the reputation of tapas places everywhere. There are some decent happy hour drink specials, and nice outdoor seating if it's nice out, but those are the only redeeming qualities for dining there.
Late at night (about 10pm)....this place transforms...the lights go down and it becomes the hot place for college kids, and not so college kids (BG confuses me because it's the only college town I've been to or lived in where college age kids mix with people of all ages at local bars and clubs. Usually it's exclusively a college age crowd, or an older crowd from what I've experienced). But they usually have a decent DJ on the weekends playing all the new and older crowd favorites. This place gets packed! it goes from casual bar to crowded dance club in like 15 minutes. It is a fun place to go and dance, or enjoy watching others attempt to dance. It is loud, but not obnoxiously loud for a dance club, so it is not a place to go to enjoy good conversation. If you're looking for this kind of scene it is a decent place to go. Word of advice...get there before the college crowd to get a seat. There is not much seating so it is at a premium if you want to sit.
Overall this place SUCKS for a tapas bar, but is an alright place to go for dancing and drinks after 10pm. I just wish BG had a decent tapas restaurant, it makes me very sad that they don't. So if you're interested in a restaurant opportunity...come to BG and open a tapas bar! Now I am done with my tapas rant, there's the overall picture of Entourage. Enjoy!
I'm not sure you can actually call this place tapas. At $8-&14 a plate, it's definitely not feasible to order a lot of dishes and share and the portions are on the larger size so it's kind of misleading. However, the food was decent. The cheese fondue had a bit too much rosemary for my liking and the spinach and artichoke dips were actually separated... as in one was spinach dip, one artichoke. To be honest, they tasted MUCH better when combined on the crostini. The spinach dip on its own was too bitter.
My husband got the crab cakes which he liked and I got the wedge salad which was OK. Comes standard with a ranch dressing which seemed odd, but overall I'd say the meal was great for area, but doesn't much compare to traditional, authentic tapas.
This was 3rd on my City Square Pub Crawl so was not there for dinner. I just know that in the afterhours this a dance club that scores major points.
There are patio (sidewalk) table for seating outside and plenty of seating inside (which makes sense as it is a restaurant at other times). The bar is located in the back corner of the room and the drinks are strong & cheap, compared to Nashville hangouts at least. No live band here but the DJ was on point and kept the party-goers on the floor.
We went on a Saturday (during the off-season, Western is not back in for 2 more weeks) but there was a good mix of ppl from 20s to 40s or so.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in BGKY. I believe they also serve entrees, but why bother? These tapas are generally of unusual size: as in, big. The cheese fondue by itself can be a meal for two, though the dippers aren't all that tasty. Also, they have the best salad I've ever had in my life: "The Entourage". That's almost a meal, too. I've had every tapas on the menu and the only one that wasn't spectacular was the crab cakes: too fishy. Romantic atmosphere with sort of a jazz edge to it. Wish they were open for lunch and on Mondays ... Overall, very expensive.
Review Source:Please don't miss this restaurant! Â It was an excellent meal, great service, and great value. Â Wonderful atmosphere, good wine selection and an overall great experience - we're sorry we are leaving town and just discovered it. Â We each had something different and were all pleased. Â I had a filet that was as good as I have ever had. Â You have to try this!
Review Source:We were, to be honest, a little leery about what sort of restaurant we could find in downtown Bowling Green. There's a lot of boring chain restaurants right off the interstate but we prefer to eat locally.
We saw a couple of tables of people eating dinner outside the restaurant which is located right off the downtown square. People seemed to be enjoying themselves so we decided to give it a try.
We liked the Spinach & Artichoke Dip (served separately - the artichoke dip was very good but the spinach was meh), the Tuna Marmitako (seared tuna with sweet peppers and potatoes), and the Nicoise salad (no tuna but a very good salad). The Papas Fritas were tired that night.
The other customers were well dressed and, according to our waiter, a mix of university and business people.
