Perfection is in every detail of this pretty eatery that just opened on Ferry Street (Route 29).  Located in a narrow slice of an historic building along the Hudson River, the cafe has immaculate, contemporary decor with exposed brick walls, free wi-fi, rotating exhibits featuring local photographers and artists, and both indoor and outdoor seating (the deck is perched on the riverbank with serene water views).  I quickly accepted the counter staff's suggestion that I try an eggplant on foccacia (roasted eggplant, three cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, roasted red peppers & sun-dried tomato, and kalamata olive tapenade on foccacia) at $6, and then absorbed myself in the great photography while he prepared  it fresh along with a fresh squeezed brazil lemonade ($3).  Both were absolutely delicious.  I ordered to-go (my focaccia came with a pickle and potato chips, and the lemonade was strong enough to dilute into two portions when I arrived home to eat).  The coffee served here is small batch roasted within 72 hours of arrival, is fair trade and organic.  The menu offers all the usual coffee drinks ($1.25 to $3.75), as well as all natural fruit smoothies ($3), assorted pastries and muffins, crustless quiches made to order with your choice of meat, cheese and veggies ($3), and panini style sandwiches ($5 or $6).
