Greenwich House of Pizza

Pretty good, for the area.

I stopped here while in Greenwich in late summer 2010.  I have to admit that I did not have high hopes for a pizza place this far upstate, in a small town.  However, I ordered 2 slices to go and was pleasantly surprised.  The pizza is a little thicker than your average pizza, but very good.  The interior decor of the restaurant (from what I saw while waiting) was very nice.  The service seemed a little slow, but I was there at a weird time (between lunch and dinner on a weekday).
There are not a lot of pizza choices in the area, so Greenwichians are lucky that this place is so good.

I feel that it is important to point out that they do take-out and they sell pizza by the slice.  It's hard to tell from the outside (it looks like it is only a sit-down kind of place).

Affectionately nicknamed the 'house of grease.' Although this is true, the pizza is exceptionally good for a small town and the Italian dishes are pretty impressive for a restaurant owned and operated by Greeks.
