We have been to this place twice before and enjoyed the food and service. Â We decided to try the Bloody Mary that was only $5. DISGUSTING. It is literally tomato juice and vodka, though you can't taste the vodka. There are no spices or additional flavor whatsoever. We have made our own bloody Mary's that are ten times as good. Also, this was the second time I had ordered the Smoked Salman Wrap and both times they said they didn't have it. Â Very frustrating. Â Why bother having something on the menu if you can't order it?? On a good note, my Mother-In-Law had the BBQ Pulled Pork burrito which she said was delicious. My Father-In-Law had the Haddock sandwich which was massive and also delicious. Â The service was ok, however, the hostess was wearing a flowing skirt that was extremely high-cut on the bottom and when she walked the skirt would blow up and show her underwear....a little unprofessional.
Review Source:Horrible. Â The first indicator was the beer. Â I ordered my favorite brand of local craft beer, but what I received tasted a lot like Budweiser to me. Â The fried pickles were hard as a rock in the middle and the "beer batter" was nasty. Â The hamburger was just ok, however, half way through finishing it I noticed a hair on my plate. Â I was grossed out and couldn't finish my meal. Â The establishment is dark and dingy.
Review Source:Go here weekly for trivia night... it's the best trivia night experience in Manchester (though honestly some weeks the questions are really, really terrible and often times they get the answers wrong).
We have a regular waitress (Rachel) who is awesome and remembers what we like to drink and order.
The mixed drinks tend to be watered down and while we've sampled a large portion of the menu there usually isn't anything that I want to order and have again. The food is mediocre and very inconsistent in how it's cooked. We tend to order the mozzarella bites and fries and they either arrive over cooked so they're burnt, or they're under cooked with cold centers.
This place would really be a gold mine if they improved their food and start making better mixed drinks!
Loved the food. Service was good. We went last Sunday night and sat in the bar area. Â We were told the wait would be 10 minutes, but it was closer to 15-20. Â We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us.
The hostess was also our waitress- which I thought was odd, but later figured out they were shorthanded b/c of a big party in their function room. Â She was a bit soft-spoken but I'll chalk that up to shyness. Â She did check on us regularly, was very nice, and was prompt w/our requests.
I had the "Cape Ann-imal" Style burger and my boyfriend had the Walking in Memphis Burger. Â
Both were ordered well-done and both came as so. Â The pulled pork on the Memphis was really good and melted over the burger. The size of the Memphis was intimidating but if you can handle a stacked burger, then it's right up your alley.
I loved the Route 22 sauce on the Cape Ann-imal burger. Â It was sweet and slightly tangy. Â The burger was big but not unmanageable.
Fries came w/both burgers and were delicious as well, albeit rather greasy. Not my typical style but I can't deny they were tasty.
We will definitely come here to eat again. Also, the atmosphere and decor is pretty unique and very well-done.
I'm befuddled at the 5 star reviews of this place. 3 strikes and you're out!  Visit 1 - A week and a half after they opened. I know they were brand new, but at 6:30 on a Thursday night, not a soul was in the entire place but the staff? I know this because they took us on a tour to see the entire restaurant. The décor is very similar to Wings Your Way without all the funny pictures and quotes. Instead of the WYW chicken, you'll see a flying pig. The main changes I noticed were the window sill seats (love these!) and changing out the tables. Other than that, it looks the same. Â
I had "liked" their facebook page the day they finally put up a sign waiting for them to open. There were several menu items listed online that were no where to be found on the menu when I went. I mentioned this to the waitress. Whom she referred to as an owner came out to discuss this. There was a salad listed that I wanted on the online Manchester menu. He stated that all the Farm locations would no longer be serving it. He seemed annoyed when I asked why they put the "old" menu up on the page a day prior to my visit if the menu was going to be different? I felt I had a valid question. I never got an answer. He said "This location is the first to change. They're all about to change." Ummm okay.
He asked what I wanted in my salad. We agreed on a fairly simple salad of 5 ingredients. 3 of the 5 were wrong when it arrived. I just ate it as it wasn't worth the hassle to me as I got no where clearly in my earlier discussion with the owner.
Fried Pickles appetizer - I've lived in the South and I can tell you the Farm's version are just pitiful. Not cut uniformly so some were extremely hot because they cooked faster and the larger ones weren't hot or cooked enough.
2nd visit - I allowed 8months to pass before my next visit. A friend and I went to dinner and drinks prior to the hockey game at the Verizon. I figured J.W. Hills would be slammed, so we gave the Farm a whirl. A hostess warmly greeted us and asked where we'd like to sit. We opted for the tables next to the bar area. She sat us and gave us our menus. A minute later, another hostess came over and literally yelled at us for sitting at our table. She said "I'm the hostess and I need to know when people sit here or you won't have a server." We explained another hostess had sat us, hence the menus and all. The table next to us concurred we had in fact been sat by someone who also seemed to be a hostess. She then walked off and we could hear an argument ensue from behind the wall. A bartender saw all this and then assisted us by taking our drink order to start. We tried his recommendation for a drink called the Farmer Palmer. It was good, not great. Sugary but had ample liquor. We then had a server take over and I wish we could have stuck with the bartender as he seemed to do his job efficiently. Our server was about as pleasant as the rude hostess.
Spinach and artichoke dip - Too much dip for the tiny portion of flatbread that accompanies it. We asked for extra bread, it never arrived.
I tried a salad on the menu this time hoping for a better experience than my first visit. I added on shrimp, which were clearly frozen. They had literally no seasoning whatsoever. I'm pretty sure they were warmed in a microwave and were thrown on top of my salad.
My friend's salad he ordered in place of a side never arrived. What is it with this place and salads?
We then waited forever and a day (approximately) for our check, despite explaining we needed to leave to make it to the Monarchs game down the street by 6:45.
My almost 3rd try - I would had tried them at the Shamrock Shuffle had they showed up as advertised. I was there, they weren't. Their tent sat empty as everyone clambered around the Portland Pie tent. I'm thankful they showed up!
3rd & last visit - Again no one in the restaurant. This time it was a Saturday afternoon We sat at a high top near the TV so we could watch the Bruins game. We were seated and no screaming hostess appeared on this visit to my delight.
Parmigiano-Encrusted Zucchini - Too thick and not cooked long enough to be crispy and were cool in the center. As I mentioned with the friend pickles, a uniform size would solve this.
I finally tried what they are supposed to be known for, their pulled pork. No salad for me today, I've learned my salad lesson with them. The pulled pork itself was fine. The sauce was so bland I'm certain there was salt or pepper in it!
Cole slaw - Gross - Can you say celery salt? That's all I could taste. I tried my companion's fries and those were nothing special either. They clearly had sat around.
Our server had no personality, sat and texted, and made us wait for our credit cards to be run for about 20 minutes because 2 other tables came in.
The Farm thrives on it's bar scene. I'm wondering when exactly this year the Farm will be 1181 Elm's St. next restaurant to close. Beer yes. Food no.
The reviews here (the great ones) are yet another example of what we New Englanders put up with in terms of medicore food, especially in NH. Â I've been here twice now and both times the food was standard to poor.
On their appetizer menu they offer fresh mozzarella bites. Â Their description was (you'll love the stringly delicious hot cheese). Â Ahhh, NO. Â They arrived cold and undercooked and I would bet my retirement that this cheese was not fresh. Â There is a distinct difference between fresh and regular mozzarella cheese. Â The inside was cold and tasteless and there wasn't a string to be found.
I ordered the surf and turf (haddock and steak tips). Â The fish was fair as were the tips. Â I didn't want fries so I ordered rice. Â It was Mexican night so I was served Mexican rice. Â Few restaurants can get Mexican rice right and The Farm is one of the places that can't. Â The rice was overcooked, bland, and tasted as if it were right out of a box.
The watier was polite but seemed lost and afraid. Â My dining companion mistakenly ordered chicken on the bone which he detests so it's really not fair to rate that dish.
In general, The Farm is a a more expensive version of Applebees with inferior food. Â This, unfortunately is not saying much as Foodies understand that Applebees receives their food in pre-cooked plastic packages from their Mid-West distribution centers. Â Also, the decor of the farm is dark and dank and not dark and dank in a good way (go in whichever direction you wish to here). Â The meal was certainly not worth $54.00. Â Always trying to be fair, the manager did come over and offer to "treat us extra special on our next visit" when she discovered that my bf had ordered the wrong dish. Â This being mentioned, it also took her ten minutes to make change when I used cash. Â Apparently she had to dash over to the 7-Eleven ATM because their wasn't enough cash in their till.
Twice was not the charm for me. Â No more visits to The Farm.
Most of the two stars here come from our waitress. She was extremely pleasant and attentive. This was our first time here, and she was a great waitress.
First problem: Ordered the Dish Worth Driving To - the nachos. The oven was apparently broken and they could not cook nachos. We asked how they cooked the corn bread we got as a starter. She said it was cooked earlier in the day.
In lieu of nachos we ordered the calamari special. Hands down the worst calamari I've had. Rubbery and the batter was heavy and almost soggy. The majority of the bowl was batter crumbs that we didn't even touch.
We placed our entree orders (beers and drinks came quick) and while waiting the waitress said the oven was up and running so we could have the nachos. Great - got the nachos a few min. later and they were okay. Definitely not a dish worth driving too. Excessive sour cream on top and we couldn't even eat the middle of the nacho dish because of the sour cream and pile of rubbery chips. Guacamole seemed relatively fresh on the side, but no flavor.
Entrees came out and one person's was incorrect - received fries instead of the ordered onion rings. He didn't bother saying anything at that point. The Asian lettuce wraps seemed okay by another person, and I had a house salad with shrimp. Absolutely no seasoning on the shrimp so it was really bland.
We'd go back for beers, but that's about it.
Really Great Experience!
Went to the Farm 2 weeks ago on a Saturday and walked right in. We had to be at a comedy show down the street an hour later and were in and out with plenty of time to spare. Courteous waitress didn't hesitate when we asked for a substitution or when I asked for their bbq sauce on the side for my meal that didn't come with it (I LOVE the sauce).
I got the fajitas with steak and chicken and it was wonderful. I had a groupon (or something like that) but I would've been satisfied with the prices at full price. $14.00 for a giant plate of meat and veggies and fixins... It was enough for 2 meals. I brought some home for my fiance and he loved it. Last weekend, we went to Shorty's and he was disappointed  because he thought that's where I got the fajitas I brought him from. Oops!
I first experianced the farm in dover, NH where my meal was something so sub par I couldn't believe they served it to me, my "fish" tacos were boiled with zero seasoning and had minimal toppings. Â Once the farm came to manchester I thought I would give it a try and boy was I happy. Â I tried the cajun shirmp cesar wrap that was out of this world, I still to this day can not cook shrimp the way it was that day. Â I have returned and to find that the quality is lacking from my first experiance. Â I had the wrap again and no spices, very little dressing and lacked a whole lot of love. Â Would I return for the wed night 5.00 patron margs? Â YES, Yes I would!
Review Source:I thought The Farm deserved an update. We've been going there roughly every other week, and usually more often, for their bar trivia night. As such, we've had a chance to sample a lot of the menu and spent a lot of time there. The original review is still, by and large, valid. It's still difficult to eat there as a vegetarian and it doesn't exactly elevate bar food, but it's a really good option for Manchester. I'll go down the list of menu items that we've had and then write a piece on trivia.
Parmigiano-Encrusted Zucchini: Tried a couple of the spears and came away impressed. Well flavored, properly fried, solid alternative at appetizer.
Farm Style Chicken Tenders: Can't vouch for them on my own, but they look hearty and the other group members consistently order them. I've seen a buffalo version ordered by request. Definitely worth a shot. There was a miss one time, we think they used a different chicken vendor, that received negative reviews.
Mozzarella Bites: Reasonably large chunks of mozzarella deep fried. They don't age particularly well but you get a good portion for $7 and they're consistently well done. Definitely recommended for a twist on the mozzarella stick. I THINK they are frozen open arrival but if cooked right they're probably the best app on the menu.
Beer-Battered Pickles: Decent but nothing to write home about.
Spinach-Artichoke Dip: Very garlicky, which will probably affect how much you really like it. Some more bread would have been helpful.
Fries: It's all dependent on how fell fried they are. Underfried or overfried and it's bad. If they're right, they're really good.
Classic Caesar Salad: Standard enough, nothing amazing but not bad.
Three Ball Soup: It's back, and it's still awesome. See my older review.
Their beer selection isn't great but passes. But I wouldn't go just for the beer since there are better options in Manchester for that. Their mixed drinks are a bit watered down, but the general flavor combinations are usually on point, and are a steal for $5 on Wednesday nights. Their play on Twisted Tea is particularly good while the Watermelon Jolly Rancher, Ocean on the Farm, and the Farmarita have made consistent appearances.
Their trivia is up and down. Some days, the person running trivia is on his game and it's a smooth, fun, well-oiled experience. On other days, it's borderline nightmarish between the tech difficulties, absolutely bizarre questions, and inability to keep score. The prizes are awesome, which keeps us coming back, but when it's bad, it's really bad.
As I said before, The Farm is a respectable, solid choice for anyone who needs a place in Manchester to eat. Outside of their Three Ball Soup and a couple other dishes, there aren't that many standout offerings.
Edit: I lowered my score to three stars. The food isn't as good as I once thought after trying it repeatedly and the trivia is too bumpy to keep it at four stars. I think our go-to waitress is leaving soon too, which stinks because she was very good. I think Riccardo's review is apt, if you want another viewpoint.
Surprisingly good,
We actually tried this place as a second option, we were going to go to another local place in Manchester that had a 55 minute wait and I was too hungry for that. So we decided to check out the Farm. There was no wait at all and we got a table right away.
The beer selection is good, the nachos were excellent, I had a chicken club and the wife had a steak and cheese, both very good, but our favorite part was the fries. We were too full for desert and our bellies were happy. The price was right too.
Something about the atmosphere was a little off for me though. It's like the place is too big for its own good. I think some sort of live music is what is missing.
Probably the type of place that is better spent in the bar... Went here for dinner ... Apps were good salads were good.. Main course was crazy bland and dry and not worth the money! The burgers and fries looked good. The drinks looked good. Staff is friendly but meals are slooooooooooow to come out.. Borderline painful for how slow the place was...nice atmosphere..
Review Source:I have been there twice the first time everything was fine I sat in the dinning room, the food was good the service was good, not great. Â They forgot to put the tuna on my salad but got it right out on the side.
Last Thursday not so much. Â My girl friend and I went in around 6 and sat at the main the bar. Â There were a few other people there that left shortly after we got there. Â My guess is they were there for happy hour that ended at 6.
After they left the bar area turned into a play ground for employees. Â My friend and I have both worked in the industry for years and we felt like we were sitting with the crew before the place opened. Â Very uncomfortable. Â
I ordered a lemon drop martini off the drink list and it was terrible the bar tender (Kim (?) red head) filled it with simple syrup which is not even in the recipe. Not only could she not make a drink she was terrible in general. Â We had empty glasses and dirty plates sitting in front of us for far to long and she was more interested in eating her dinner on the side of the bar then waiting on customers. Â She had to look up every drink she made. Â There was a male bartender that came in later in the night that was just as bad if not worse.
The food is pretty good there and the atmosphere is nice but the service was such a turn off I don't see me going back any time soon.
I actually spoke to the manager on the way out.  She was very nice and offered a giftcard, which I declined I just wanted to inform her how bad her bartenders were. It was a bit of a turn off that she made excuses for them telling me they were both very new.  They must have been new at bartending not just to The Farm  or they were bad hires.  Also why would you schedule 2 new bartenders at the same time on a Thursday night?
We were staying nearby for our anniversary and we had dinner here because it seems like it had the most friendly and casual atmosphere and they do! The food was great although I am not sure a vegetarian would have a great time. Portions are plentiful, maybe a little too plentiful I ordered a bowl of chowder and it was so big I only ate 2 bites of my dinner. I took off 1 star cause my chair was sticky and everything had that no so slick need to be wiped down feeling.
Review Source:The farm has officially reached "go-to" status. Â I've been here a few times now, and haven't been disappointed yet.
Mexican Night is what drew me in first. Â A friend and I stopped in for dinner and drinks, and suffice it to say, The Farm actually nows how to put together a solid Mexican dish. Â Yeah, Margaritas is a block or two away, but in terms of entrees, The Farm can certainly go toe-to-toe. Â And hey, $5 Patron margaritas. Â 'Nuff said. Â See if you can beat my shameless record of three with dinner.
I've also been a few times in the late evening, while bar hopping with friends, and we've put away many plates of fries, which always come out hot and crispy. Â Oh yeah, they're damn tasty too, if you couldn't guess.
Tack on a pretty good beer menu, and a really cool waitstaff, and you've got Manchester's newest night spot. Â Add it to your Manchester late night Friday to-do list-- you won't be disappointed.
This has become one of our go to restaurants. The food is good and no too pricey. It's great if you want something a cut above the chain places on South Willow St, but don't want something as pricey as some of the other places downtown. There is a lobby between the Bar and Table areas, so it's no big deal to bring kids even when it's a bit late, and the staff has always been friendly.
My only complaint is that they have been a bit slow with service at lunch time, so it's not be the best place to go for lunch if you're on a tight schedule.
Stopped in for drinks last night. The place looked nice enough, great decor. The drink menu was unique.
I wasn't too impressed though. We sat down at the bar and there were dirty drink glasses taking up unused seats. Not sure why used glasses were on the bar; they were there since before I sat down until after I left.
No wonder there were fruit flies! I noticed a few, then the bartender started moving things around and more came out from under the bar equipment! If that's how the bar looks (a customer facing area) I don't even want to imagine how the kitchen looks! I will never order food here, despite how appetizing the menu looks.
The bartender wasn't very friendly. I didn't see her smile once; she was very monotone and honestly seemed unpleasant. The drinks were very good though; she clearly is a skilled bartender when it comes to making delicious drinks.
We only had one round of drinks. I was too grossed out by the fruit flies and dirty glasses to stay for round 2. We moved on quickly.
I live right down the road from The Farm and my roommate and I find ourselves going here frequently.
I dream about the BBQ Nachos, they are so delicious and HUGE. We usually just eat these as a meal because for 2-3 people they are plenty of food.
The pulled pork burrito is also great, love the coleslaw inside. My roommate said the veggie burger is really good, made fresh there with different ingredients than the usual.
The drinks are good, they have some fun mixed drinks. A waitress suggested to me after I got an Angry Orchard to add a shot of fireball whiskey. I've been hooked on that combination ever since.
I'm giving 4 stars because the service can be a hit or miss. We've had a few awesome waitresses and then we've had some bad ones. One time we were sitting outside, it took forever to get drinks and when they brought us our nachos they disappeared without giving us forks or napkins. If I wasn't so obsessed with the nachos I would probably just do 3 stars. Â
The decor is cute with farm-ish flair. I also really like the outdoor seating, though with the location some weird homeless/prostitute people are usually walking by looking through the fence. Free dinner entertainment!
Over all, I like The Farm, I know I'll be back (Nachooooos, Nom Nom Nom)
I suppose the two hookers who were walking in from outside, heading to the bar, didn't help my attitude or appetite. Â
Cornbread had a buttermilk flavor/texture, so had high hopes for the dinner. Â For kicks, we all shared a bowl of chili while waiting for dinner. Main flavor? Super-sweet BBQ-sauce. Â Cloying sweet. Â Dunkin' Donut sweet.
They were out of ribs. Â Ordered a couple of burgers and a rib eye - medium rare. Â All the meat was severely overcooked - beyond well done. Â Waitress was appalled, helpful. Whisked the burnt offerings out of our sight, brought a basket of fries for us to munch on, etc, etc. Â She also suggested we keep our side-dishes so we'd have something to eat while they kitchen remade our food. Â Yeah. Â I love side-dishes before my meal. Thanks.
Food reappeared. Â A place that really gave a....rip.....about their patrons would have served new hot side-dishes along with the redone entrees. Â Not this joint.
And how much work is it to properly season a burger with a little salt and pepper? Â
Waitress was embarrassed. Â "Oh, the manager is SO MAD. Â He was letting the sous chef do the cooking while he was in the back office - you know, it is kind of late and he's put in a full day. Â But boy, he is hopping mad that they had to redo three whole entrees!" Â Â At that point, we're like deer caught in her headlight, just staring open-mouthed at the thought the manager was hopping mad about three meals having to be redone. Â It's not like he ever showed up to apologize for the crummy food. Â Instead, the waitress offered "Ice cream? Â Cheesecake? I feel bad but it is all I can do within the limits of my power." Â
We felt awful for her. What a crappy place to have to work, where the chef or manager doesn't have the anatomical parts (a brain) to come out of the kitchen, say something like, "Sorry, we blew it...". Â Â
The very same super-sweet, syrupy BBQ sauce that flavored the chili was the same one used in my son's pulled pork sandwich, and the same BBQ sauce in the baked beans, and the same BBQ sauce on the....well, you get the idea......
I'm thinking that too many Mass-based restaurants coming north of the NH border might just want to stay put down-under. Â It doesn't take any talent to buy and serve beer. Â But real food with some care and professionalism behind it? That seems to be a problem for this joint.......
The Farm Bar & Grille now occupies the space which has seen several restaurants & bars in recent time (including Wings Your Way) come and go. I admit to being disappointed in Wings Your Way's closure, since I really enjoyed the boneless wings there.
I've moved on now and The Farm Bar & Grille is the ideal replacement, where I can meet up with friends after work to relax and enjoy the weekday Happy Hour (3PM-6PM) when Drafts are $2.50 and the Appetizers (except Piggy Pupu) are 50 percent off!, what a great deal!
I've been here a few times (with friends) for Happy Hour since its opening several months ago. We usually sit up at the bar for good friendly service. Also, they offer free wifi access for the restaurant & bar guests, which is a definite plus!
As for the food (mainly appetizers), we have been very pleased on each visit. The food comes out fairly quick after ordering. Some of our favorite appetizers we enjoy with our drafts and drinks are
The BBQ Nachos are very filling and a big heaping dish with hot crispy tortilla chips layered with melted cheddar cheese, sweet BBQ tender pulled pork, topped with sour cream and salsa, a bit messy to eat, great for sharing!
The  Fried Zucchini Spears are deep fried golden brown and very crispy on the outside, coated with panko & parmesan cheese and love that spicy horseradish dipping sauce!
The Beer Battered Pickles have a light crispy coating over sour pickles with a spicy dipping sauce.
The Mexican Lettuce Wraps come with cupped shape Romaine lettuce leaves and served with citrus grilled chicken, avocados, tomatoes, red onions and cilantro lime sour cream, very good!
The 3 BBQ Sliders (we've ordered both pulled pork and chicken) have a sweet smoky flavor, served with a crunchy tangy cole slaw and diced sour pickles on the side.
The Seared Tataki Tuna is  a mainstay favorite of my good friend. This is a small plate with tender sushi grade tuna rolled with sesame seeds and pan seared.and served with wasabi & ginger and soy sauce for dipping.
The $2.50 Drafts and the Half Price Appetizers offered during Happy Hour are definitely an awesome deal, especially the Tataki Tuna for only $6 (half price)! Also, on another note, they do not have a printed dessert menu, but they do offer special desserts (which change) made by a local baker.
The Farm Bar & Grille is in my rotation of places to go for drinks and food after work and on the weekends too!
The Farm is not the type of place I would expect to give five stars, but they deserve it. Â The seasonal salad is huge with lots of toppings, guac is the best I've tried in the area, and service is above average. Â They comped my salad since it was missing raspberries, and this was without me asking or expecting any sort of compensation. Â Veggie burger is pretty good and made in house. Â Give it a try!
Review Source:I don't recommend The Farm for lunch or an a schedule.
You may watch as every table is stuck behind a 14 person take-out order and then see the tables around you get served first like a lottery. Â You may also have to track down your waiter to order.
Mussels had a weird taste. Lots of lemon and tomato made them taste like Fruit Loops cereal. Â Wife wondered if they had gone bad, I'm really hoping she was wrong.
Food was take it or leave it. Nothing to write home about and certainly not worth the $50 we have on our credit card statement.
Only reason it's 2 stars and not 1 is because we didn't actually walk out. Â Their porch is nice as far as porches go. Â Waiter was a good guy, but he's a part of the hour and a half lunch today.
Must say, pleasantly surprised. Â I'd been there alone for Wing night, nothing special. Â Id heard mixed reviews on the food. Â But when we went in the other night we sat at the back bar and everything was amazing.
Server was ?Allie?, she was great, super helpful, super friendly, kept us happy, kept her bar clean, never on her phone or anything stupid, her down time was spent cleaning.
Most importantly though I was impressed with a Ahi Tuna dinner salad that had ripe tomatoes avocado and a generous portions of Ahi Tuna. Â Dressing on the side, good touch, good presentation.
One downside was it was trivia night and they reallllyyy need to, not only turn it down, but take the sound of trivia out of the back room. Â That way people NOT playing trivia dont have to listen. Â It was annoying .
Overall, I WILL b back for great service and that awesome tuna salad !
The food was very good and tasted very fresh and the wings are INCREDIBLE. Ironically, they are much better than the wings which were at Wings Your Way, which specialized in them. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the tomato/grilled cheese soup was very tasty. We didn't have an issue with parking at all as there was enough on the street and I hope that this place doesn't suffer the same fate as the other dozen or so before it due to its location and allegedly lack of parking.
Review Source:Firday 02/24/2012 My Wife and me, and our 11 mo old.
The good:
Buns delilvered fresh daily from a local bakery! Made a big difference in my pulled pork sandwich.
Nice bar and dining area seperation, good for all crouds.
Plenty of space for a high chair even though we were in the middle of the floor
Great selection of food, some neat takes on common dishes, some homemade things.
Food was tasty, portions large.
The meh:
Nothing annoys me more at restarunts than cold butter, room temperature people, seriously.
Starter of corn bread, really good, but should be warm.
The alachol was lame, I was hoping for a special cocktail or good beer selection based on how trendy the place looked.
The help:
Attentive, lots of talent, but not necessarialy the brightest bunch.
Overall:
I would go back with family, they have a pig on the sign, so the bbq better be good, and it was. I have still many places to try in NH, but this is one of the better places I've been to since I moved here from MA. I'm VERY picky, that's why it only gets a 3.
Love it! Friendly bartenders, great ambiance and service. Food is excellent. I had the Mexican burger, and the chili is good, but needs more than just meat. Looking forward to making this a regular hangout. I love the side dining room, bar and back atrium areas- this place is BIG! Most of all like the great service.
Review Source:A couple friends and I stopped in for dinner and a beer Saturday night. This place has been a string of dingy nightclubs and then a wings restaurant. With such a beautiful space and such a prominent location, I'm happy that a good restaurant and bar has finally gone in here.
We chose to be seated in the bar side, which was much more lively than the dining room, but still comfortable. We ended up through the old, stone archway in the "atrium" out back, which was a nice space with its own bar. There's a patio off this space with outdoor seating in warmer weather. The "atrium", along with the dining room and bar, was warm, comfortable and tastefully but casually decorated.
We ordered the BBQ nachos, which were excellent, along with a round of beers. The beer selection is fairly good, with Long Trail, Smuttynose, Tuckerman and other locals on-tap generally for $4.50. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more unusual locals that would make me seek this place out as much as a bar as a restaurant, but as it is the beer list is solid. The sandwiches we got were all tasty and extremely filling. After the nachos, we really didn't need much more food, but it was all very good.
Service was great--very attentive and informed, and the owner stopped by a couple times to chat, and prices were very reasonable.
I'm so glad something fitting and worthy of this space has finally filled the cursed spot at Elm and Bridge. I'm looking forward to eating here again when I'm back in town, as well as seeing how it works more as a bar.
Definitely an upgrade over Wings Your Way.
The service was fast and prompt; however, I kind of wish they had a TV or two in the dining room for the patrons who do not want to sit in the bar area.
The food was excellent. Â I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich with french fries and was very satisfied with what I received. Portions were huge, the sandwich used a fresh bun ( brought in daily ), the pork was a delight ( smoked on location ), and the french fries were perfect.
I will definitely be coming back.
