I've never eater in this business. Â We have gone through the drive through multiple times though. Â The burgers have the second best buns in Lafayette and are really huge. Â Pretty good cheese burger, I was very impressed. Â The nachos are my favorite here. Â One order of nachos will feed three to four adults easy. Â Would rank it higher but I went there once thinking it was a proper bar to shoot pool. Â It's not a proper bar. Â It's a restaurant. Â Commercials promote it as a bar. Â Its a bar like Chili's and Applebee's are bars.
Review Source:Heard advertisements for this place over the radio so finally I was able to try it out. What makes this place unique are the personal tv sets at each table that line the walls. Â Each TV can be changed so you can watch anything your little heart desires while you hang out and grub.
The menu is pretty standard bar related food. Â I tried the Mile High Burger. It included grilled onions, peppers and pepper jack cheese. Yum!
I will visit again to try out their dogs!
I was pulled to Fat Pat's by another reviewer who mentioned that they had not only the best burgers in Lafayette, but a wide selection of specialty hot dogs and sausage. Â I will speak to the former first, I hope that these are not the best burgers in Lafayette or I am in trouble. Â The positive to start was the bun, as many others have echoed which was both unique and excellent. Â Sadly that was it for the positives on the burger side, the meat was seasoned okay but way overcooked, and the onion rings were an attempt at beer batter but were way too greasy and had none of the light texture beer provides when done right. Â As for the hot dogs, which my wife is a connoisseur of, she said the cheesy Coney dog was great with a subtle spiciness. Â However she was not impressed with her sweet potato fires which she usually loves. Â Overall service was above average, prices were okay, and food was a bit below what i expect from pub fare.
Review Source:Took the family for dinner and had a nice meal. Â Went to watch a LSU game and somehow got a booth. Â The booths have TVs as others mentioned. Â Plenty of large flat screens also.
The food was good and fresh. Â The guacamole and queso were both good and made fresh. Â Â I had the Coney Island Chili-Cheese Dog which I would recommend. Â Good chilie, good dog. Â One of the kids had the mac-n-cheese which was refreshingly not Kraft... Â Service was very friendly.
A little update on the place, since I was in town visiting...The big boy burger, "Go big or Go home!" Two homemade patties on a sweet bun! I believe a sweet bun gives the goodness a burger deserves. The burger also comes with fries or you can substitute o-rings or sweet potato fries for a little extra. the 2 for 1 draft all day errday is not a bad deal either.
Review Source:Stopped in sat. afternoon to watch the game and have a few brews. Nice, clean place, with good service. My waitress Chole, was very pleasant and did a great job. The draft beers are ice cold, and it is two for one all day everyday. That makes it about $1.85 a beer. Cant beat that. Had one  of their small cheeseburgers and it was very good. Great seasoning on the meat.  All around great experience. Will definitely be back. They also use Nathans beef franks on their hotdogs. Will try one on my next visit.
Review Source:Not an enormous menu, but they do have really good burgers and hot dogs, and sides... Â Warning though - the large (double?) sized options are HUGE.
TVs at each booth are convenient. Â Margaritas weren't that impressive, but they were cheap. Â Family owned & operated, which means they care about their customers...
This is the best sports bar in town. If your into watching college football, having a coupla of burgers, wings and cold brew - this is the place to be in Lafayette. The #1 reason why this is - they have tv's right at your booth. Friggin' nice.
And the food is pretty good, a mighty tasty burger that they will top with just about anything.
