Fec's has been here forever. From the outside it looks like a typical dive bar, with its old school sign. Â However, its actually a pretty lively place. Lot of young people. College kids, 20 somethings, and yes some older people. But its a fun place. Â
They have a separate room for pool, which is nice, so the other patrons don't get in the way of your game and vice versa. There are enough tvs in the place if you want to watch the game, but not too many to make it distracting.
Jukebox has a good mix of new and old so you don't get the dive bar vibe of hearing the same old classic rock and country songs over and over. Â They understand people under 40 listen to a wider variety of music than the old people. Â When they have a band, the place gets packed.
Prices are reasonable and they have great bar-pizza.
And don't miss their annual street party pig roast in the summer. Its a benefit for wounded warriors.
Since Mike was my Uncle's cousin and the original Running Bear..It saddens me he isnt there now.(I was lucky enough to live downtown and see him do the Running Bear quite a few times). The juke box is the best in the planet(Old school..THANK YOU) I hope whoever is running it now doesnt put a bunch of new crap in it and ruin it with some Christina Agulara bullshit. Â LOL...Anyhow..Nice bartenders..good drinks and fun locals.
